UI Designer

In recent years, Double Good has seen 40% year over year growth, and we’re excited about our future! We’re excited about the possibility of you joining our mission. We are looking for a UI Designer to join our growing Product Design team.
Our B2B2C virtual fundraising platform combined with our made-to-order approach to popcorn production means feature prioritization, scope, and effective execution of new feature development are critical to the overall customer journey and company operations.
As a UI Designer, you will support product teams in meeting user’s expectations for quality and consistency by leveraging our design system elements to create innovative features. Collaborate across teams to identify emerging design trends and transform them into reusable patterns. Develop and maintain pattern libraries, toolkits, and documentation to streamline design processes. Advocate for UI standards and accessibility, working closely with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive and user-friendly experiences.
Location - This role will be hybrid onsite from our downtown Chicago office.
About the role:
- Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and final design assets that align with requirements, design system, and brand guidelines.
- Document and maintain design system guidelines.
- Collaborate with Product Designers to translate research and user flows into visually compelling designs.
- Partner with developers to ensure design fidelity through implementation and testing.
- Maintain and contribute to design systems, ensuring consistency across platforms.
- Ensure that designs are responsive, accessible, and meet user needs across devices.
- Conducting visual audits to ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines and the design system across the product.
Experience & Skills we value:
- Bachelor's degree in a design-related subject area or equivalent work experience.
- A portfolio that highlights exceptional user experience and visual design skills.
- Proven ability to create sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and detailed documentation while organizing them into accessible and user-friendly design libraries.
- Deep understanding of layout, color theory, typography, visual hierarchy, and user-centered design principles.
- Strong ability to promote UI consistency across teams, effectively collaborating with designers, engineers, product managers, and executives through compelling writing, visuals, and presentations.
- Expertise in using Figma for advanced prototyping and design handoffs.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of precision in design work, ensuring pixel-perfect designs and consistency throughout the product.

Base Pay range for this position:
- $80,000 - $110,000
- Target Annual Reward Plan (ARP): Bonus paid at 15% (% of Annualized Base Pay, paid quarterly)
The final discretionary compensation that will be offered for this role depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
