Master Production Planner

Location - onsite at our Burr Ridge facility.
About the role:
The purpose of this role is to ensure the correct amount of finished good inventory is available to support fulfilling customer orders while managing shelf life requirements. The role collaborates cross functionally with production, shipping, and other departments within the supply chain in order to drive alignment to the plan.
The Master Production Planner creates a comprehensive production schedule to meet finished good inventory requirements within Microsoft Dynamic D365. It includes production quantities to be manufactured within specific time frames while incorporating considerations such as incoming material requirements, crewing constraints, and other variables that may apply. In addition, the master production planner generates daily shipping targets based on product forecasts.
In addition to short-term production scheduling, the position collaborates with manufacturing and shipping to develop accurate capacity planning for operations. This includes developing and leveraging key metrics from D365 to support ongoing rate reviews, adherence, and consumption variances.
This position works with marketing to align on detailed production & shipping plans to support our unique channel, donations. This includes communicating changes in production, inventory & service risks, and required potential changes to sales orders.
The role requires extensive knowledge of Microsoft D365 and the ability to leverage Excel where necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Microsoft D365 to build daily production schedules to meet finished good inventory targets that support shipping targets
- Communicate service and inventory impact for production, shipping, and forecast changes
- Collaborate with buyers on timing of raw materials to ensure production plans can be executed
- Coordinate with marketing on the production & shipping plans to fulfill donation orders
- Development and maintenance of capacity projection requirements for operations and supply chain.
- Partner with operations to identify process improvement opportunities
- Responsible for ongoing accuracy of key planning data within D365 (production rates, crewing requirements, etc)
- Reporting of planning and scheduling metrics and updating of key supply chain reports
Experience & Skills we value:
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or STEM field required
- 3-5 years of experience working in supply chain
- Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, MRP, and inventory management principles required ideally in the Food & Beverage industry
- Previous experience in using ERP software with Microsoft Dynamics preferred
- Advanced computer skills and an understanding of spreadsheets are required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong analytical skills with knowledge of data analysis tools and reporting preferred

Base Pay range for this position:
- $65,000 - $90,000 annually
- Target Annual Reward Plan (ARP): 15% of base salary
The final discretionary compensation that will be offered for this role depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
