Market Development Manager - Youth Fundraising

In recent years, Double Good has seen 40% year over year growth, and we’re excited about our future! We’re excited about the possibility of you joining our mission. We are looking for a Market Development Manager of Youth Fundraising to join our growing Sales and Partnerships team.
Location - This will be a field based position in Minnesota.
About the role:
The purpose of the Market Development Manager role is to expand awareness and adoption of Double Good in new and underdeveloped markets, particularly in the elementary education space - by building relationships with school leaders, district contacts, and potential event organizers in the elementary education taxonomy.
Scope and Range: This role owns market development within a specific geography and is focused on top-of-funnel activity: generating awareness, building relationships, and inspiring fundraising events in areas where Double Good is not yet widely known. The Market Development Manager will represent the company in schools, at education conferences, and in networking environments, with the goal of catalyzing new fundraisers. This role blends grassroots education outreach with startup sales energy and will be instrumental in defining what a high-volume, relationship-focused sales function looks like at Double Good.
Responsibilities:
- Build awareness of Double Good by visiting schools, attending conferences, and connecting with key stakeholders in the elementary education space
- Drive interest and registration for Double Good fundraisers through authentic and informative conversations—not high-pressure sales tactics
- Serve as a trusted resource for educators and school leaders by understanding their fundraising needs and matching them to Double Good’s mission
- Capture feedback and market insights to inform internal teams and improve our product, product tech, and future outreach
- Partner with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Partnerships, Product, and Customer Success) to support broader go-to-market strategies
Other Job Functions:
- Represent Double Good at relevant in-person events and school-based functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience & Skills we value:
Required
- Background in or strong familiarity with the education sector, particularly K–5
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders
- 1+ year in sales, outreach, or partnership development, ideally with education focus
- Self-starter comfortable working independently in the field
- Mission-driven and able to connect authentically with school communities
- Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Education, Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
Nice to have and/or you’ll learn:
- Proven success in a sales, outreach, or field marketing role
- Experience fundraising within or for school systems
- Familiarity with CRMs or lead tracking systems as well as working in a scrappy manner from a spreadsheet
- Prior role that blended outreach, education, and consultative selling
- Experience working in or with elementary schools and districts; previous roles in edtech or school fundraising solutions
- Ability to think strategically and execute quickly in a startup or growth-stage environment

Base Pay range for this position:
- $55,000 - $75,000 annually
- On Target Earning Potential: up to 100% of base salary
The final discretionary compensation that will be offered for this role depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
