Financial Analyst

In recent years, Double Good has seen 40% year over year growth, and we’re excited about our future! We’re excited about the possibility of you joining our mission. We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance.
Location - This is a hybrid position primarily based at our downtown Chicago office, with occasional visits to our Elmhurst location as required.
About the role:
Job Purpose:
The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the FP&A team, responsible for analyzing the company’s P&L, supporting department-level budgeting, and delivering insightful financial reporting. This role includes a focus on COGS analysis within a food manufacturing environment, as well as close collaboration with cross-functional partners to understand financial performance and support planning.
Scope and Range:
High-impact individual contributor role with opportunities to influence strategic decisions across the business. Analyze the company’s P&L, lead COGS deep-dives, and partner with department leaders to drive financial performance. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives on data accuracy, trend analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Own monthly and quarterly P&L analysis, identifying key drivers of variances and trends
- Analyze cost of goods sold, including material, labor and overhead in a food manufacturing setting
- Assist in the preparation of internal financial reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for key stakeholders
- Support month-end close processes, including variance analysis, COGS review, expense review.
- Build and maintain financial models for areas such as labor modeling, new product development, scenario modeling, and more
- Contribute to company-wide budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning business performance with financial goals
- Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of financial data
- Collaborate with teams across product, marketing, operations, and data to align financial insight and identify opportunities for growth and cost efficiencies
Experience & Skills we value:
- Strong understanding of financial statements, business metrics, and cost structures
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with ability to build and maintain financial models
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- 1-3 Years of experience working in FP&A, accounting, or related field
Nice to have and/or you’ll learn:
- Experience using budgeting and forecasting tools (ex. Planful, Vena, Adaptive Insights, or similar)
- Familiarity with Looker for building dashboards and driving data insights
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
- Background in a tech-enabled, product-based or consumer-facing company
- 1-3 years of financial analysis experience in food manufacturing
Required Education:

Base Pay range for this position:
- $60,000 - $82,000
- Target Annual Bonus: 10% of base salary
The final discretionary compensation that will be offered for this role depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
