Senior Financial Analyst

Location - This role will be hybrid based out of our downtown Chicago office.
About the role:
We are seeking a highly analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team. This role will be deeply embedded in the business, partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Customer Analytics, and Data/Analytics (DNA) to drive insight, accountability, and performance. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven storytelling, and thrives in a fast-paced consumer tech environment.
Responsibilities:
Reporting & Business Insights
- Prepare weekly demand reporting, including daily pacing maintenance and performance monitoring.
- Prepare and deliver monthly reporting deck, including variance analysis and executive-ready commentary for both demand and P&L performance.
- Support month-end close by preparing close decks, performing ad hoc analyses (e.g., COGS, shipping, T&E), and partnering closely with Accounting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct retention, cohort, conversion, and funnel analysis across events, stores, checkout, and customer journeys.
- Analyze buyer and value drivers such as shipping, merchandising, and pricing levers.
- Track and analyze A/B testing results, synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations.
Forecasting & Planning
- Prepare weekly forecasting at both event and order levels.
- Lead quarterly forecasting by initiative, including impact analysis of product, marketing, and customer initiatives.
- Support and contribute to annual planning, including bottoms-up modeling and initiative-based planning.
- Assist in preparation of forecast and plan components for assigned functions and cost centers.
- Prepare monthly functional financial packs for business partners and leadership.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Serve as a trusted finance partner to Marketing, Product, Customer Analytics, and DNA teams.
- Perform impact analysis for all major Product, Marketing, and Customer initiatives.
- Own financial partnership for a set of functions, deeply understanding expense drivers and operating mechanics.
- Lead monthly vendor reviews, including spend analysis and optimization opportunities.
- Provide thoughtful financial commentary and research to support leadership decision-making.
Data, Tools & Process Improvement
- Build, maintain, and enhance Looker dashboards to improve visibility into KPIs and performance trends.
- Conduct analysis using tools such as Amplitude and Segment to support growth, conversion, and retention insights.
- Build and maintain robust financial models to support forecasting, planning, and scenario analysis.
- Drive process improvements across reporting, forecasting, and planning workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Experience & Skills we value:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- 4–7+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, or analytics, preferably within a consumer tech, e-commerce, or high-growth environment.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; strong comfort working with large datasets.
- Experience with BI and analytics tools such as Looker, Amplitude, Segment, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and business case development.
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and translate data into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Base Pay range for this position:
- $76,000 - $108,000 annually
- Target Annual Bonus: 10% of base salary
The final discretionary compensation that will be offered for this role depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.

This position requires current authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship, including support for F-1 Optional Practical Training (OPT), STEM OPT extensions, or other temporary work authorization programs.
