What You'll Do
Collections Management:
- Lead and manage the collections team to meet or exceed cash collection targets.
- Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue balances and implement appropriate collection strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to resolve billing issues and ensure timely payments.
- Review and analyze aging reports regularly, taking action on delinquent accounts.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and legal to resolve disputed invoices and collection challenges.
- Develop and enforce credit policies and procedures in line with company risk appetite.
Cash Applications:
- Oversee accurate and timely application of customer payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards).
- Ensure daily reconciliation of cash receipts to bank statements and AR ledger.
- Identify and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash and short payments.
- Coordinate with the billing team on adjustments, write-offs, and credit memos as needed.
- Monitor and enhance automation of cash application processes (e.g., lockbox, auto-matching, ERP tools).
Leadership & Reporting:
- Hire, train, and develop AR team members with a focus on performance, accountability, and career development.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly reports on collections performance, DSO, and unapplied cash metrics.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline AR operations and reduce errors.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, and audit requirements related to receivables.
- Support month-end close activities, including AR reconciliations and reporting.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable, including a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of AR processes, including collections and cash applications.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a high-volume AR environment.
- Familiarity with B2B collections best practices.
- Exposure to automation tools

- Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
- % Of current receivables
- % of unapplied cash
- Collection effectiveness index
- Timeliness and accuracy of cash application
- Dispute resolution turnaround time
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV. The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $86,000 - $163,000. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits. The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description; however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be more or less experienced than this job description as posted.
