The Opportunity

The Talent Acquisition Specialist owns hiring for their region. Every open position in your market runs through you, from craft and field roles through office and professional staff. You will partner with your hiring managers to understand what they need, prescreen and interview candidates, support the offer process, and hand off cleanly to onboarding.

Your region is yours to build. You will come to know its labor pool, its hiring managers, and where the good candidates actually come from, and you will carry the full range of what we hire there rather than a slice of it. When a position in your market opens, filling it is your result to own.

What You'll Do

Own Regional Hiring

  • Own recruitment and selection activity for every open position in your region.
  • Partner with hiring managers across your region to understand staffing needs and initiate recruitment and selection activity.
  • Prescreen, test, interview, and select candidates for your openings.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR staff through the offer process, communicating offers within established compensation bands and confirming timing and other work arrangements.

Build Your Pipeline

  • Post your requisitions and job postings to approved recruitment platforms and job boards.
  • Coordinate with approved recruiting vendors under the direction of TA leadership.
  • Represent DP Electric at job fairs and recruiting events in your market.
  • Build deep working knowledge of your region's labor market, hiring managers, and talent sources.

Hand Off and Maintain the Record

  • Coordinate with talent onboarding so your accepted candidates transition smoothly to their start date.
  • Maintain the applicant tracking system and your recruitment and selection records.
  • Apply federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and compliance policies.
  • Support senior staff in developing recruitment and selection strategies, techniques, metrics, and processes.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in recruitment, selection, and talent management activity, or a closely related field.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM's Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential.

We recognize that experience comes from many paths. An equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience that results in successful performance of the job is welcomed. Additional education may substitute for required experience on a one-for-one year basis, or vice versa.

Work Environment

This role is based in the office. Work is performed at a desk and on a computer, with occasional walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting no more than 10 pounds. Expect a fast-paced environment with competing priorities that calls for organization and discretion.

Why DP Electric

  • 401(k) with company match, eligible after one year of service.
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). You are an owner of this company.

  • Access to DP University, our in-house training program built to grow careers.
  • A people-first culture grounded in our core values: Dependable · Opportunity · Raise the Standard · Give Back · Positivity · Family Culture.
