The Opportunity
The General Superintendent leads the superintendents, general foremen, and foremen who build the work. You will own safety, quality, and execution across every job under your charge, forecast and man-load the work from start to finish, and make the staffing and cost decisions that keep several projects performing at the same time.
The job takes different shapes depending on the work. On our large mission-critical builds, including data centers, semiconductor and advanced manufacturing facilities, and healthcare, you may own a full campus or carry several concurrent projects, setting the staffing strategy across all of them. On our special projects, you may lead field operations across a portfolio of jobs that turn over quickly, partnering with project managers and holding the client relationships that bring repeat work.
What You'll Do
Lead the Field Team
- Supervise and mentor superintendents, general foremen, and foremen, building a culture of accountability and professional growth.
- Develop the field leadership bench, identifying and preparing the people who will run our future work.
- Drive a culture of safety excellence and hold every job to safety regulations and best practices.
Run the Work
- Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution across multiple projects so each one hits its milestones.
- Set staffing strategy and align manpower and resources with project schedules and budgets.
- Forecast and man-load projects from start to finish.
- Review and interpret plans, specifications, and blueprints, guiding teams through accurate installation.
- Monitor budgets and expenses, controlling cost and improving how resources are deployed.
- Identify process improvements and put better practices in place across the work.
Coordinate and Communicate
- Communicate regularly with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to give updates and resolve challenges.
- Read general contractor schedules and plan the work accordingly.
- Participate in project planning meetings, bringing field insight to execution strategy and risk.

Work Environment
This is a field-based role performed on active construction sites, both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to weather and jobsite conditions. The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, crawling, working at heights, and working in confined spaces, and requires wearing personal protective equipment. Expect a fast-paced environment that calls for focus and sound judgment under pressure.
