Job Overview
Join the Steel Hunters team! The newly announced free-to-play mech shooter game, by Wargaming, one of the biggest publishers of free-to-play games in the world.
This strategic and tactical game in unreal Engine 5, blends mech hero combat with Battle Royale and Extraction gameplay in a rich, futuristic setting, where players fight over a rare resource called Starfall. As Senior Designer, you will help to inspire and create gameplay and be responsible for coordinating and working with other Designers. You’ll be expected to apply your expertise and experience across a range of different design areas, so flexibility and varied experience is key.
In this position, you will be working within a multidisciplinary team of developers in a global community and can share your knowledge and continue to develop your skill set by learning from your teammates. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who can integrate themselves seamlessly into our team & studio culture.

You will report to the Lead Game Designer.
What will you do?

Establish and maintain good working practices

Contribute to and implement the vision of the game

Document design decisions clearly and communicate to key stakeholders and external studios

Collaborate with teams to support the area’s design, in the implementation of features and content
What are we looking for?
-
Experience working on “games as a service” titles and/or free-to-play titles
-
Experience in creating gameplay systems and combat mechanics in Unreal Engine

Strong knowledge of game design and game development concepts

An excellent understanding of PvPvE multiplayer titles

Ability to deliver designs and player experiences that support the project creative direction.

Work with your team to offer creative solutions to problems that arise as the game develops.

Collaborate with others to share techniques, ideas, and contribute to a positive working environment

Strong initiative and sense of responsibility to increase the quality of the game

Good documentation and communication skills
What additional skills will help you stand out?

Experience working with 3rd person PVP multiplayer titles

Experience working with Battle Royale or Extraction Shooters

Have experience working with multiple studios across different time zones
Work mode
Hybrid (3 days of work from the office, 2 remote)
