Automotive Parts Associate

We're looking for an energized automotive professional with knowledge of parts ordering to join our team in Long Island City, New York! As an Auto Parts Associate, you will report to the Shop Manager and be responsible for the receipt, verification, labeling, storage, and documentation of auto parts and supplies at our repair facility. 

What you’ll do

• Maintain a clean, well-organized parts room.
• Ensure all inventory data is entered accurately and reliably.
• Order stock and special-order parts for repair orders according to internal procedures.
• Maintain strong, effective relationships with parts vendors.
• Manage all part returns to vendors and track the associated credits.
• Review incoming Last Stop Garage invoices and credits for accuracy prior to payment.
• Scan, label, and organize invoices and credits into the appropriate Google Drive folders.
• Enter invoice details such as date, vendor, and amount due into the NS Import Gadget Sheet.
• Record vendor credits for returned parts and other adjustments in the NS Import Gadget Sheet.
• Conduct semi-annual high-level counts to assess parts inventory on hand.
• Assist the service team by entering repair orders when needed.
• Input work order sheets and ensure accurate billing within the service program.
• Support mechanics with diagnostics related to parts availability or specifications.
• Assist with general garage facility needs, including refuse disposal and supplies.

What we look for

• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs and sustain activity for extended periods of time
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1+ years of experience working in auto parts or inventory
• Toyota and or Tesla experience a plus
• High level of computer proficiency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation range: $20-$25/hr
