Lead Video Editor & Content Strategist
DriveWhip is a mobility provider in the Washington, DC area, with offices in multiple cities, including Atlanta, that Leases/Rents vehicles to Uber, Lyft and other On-Demand or Rideshare drivers. As a ground floor member of an exciting new company all associates will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities. An appreciation for the pros and cons of start up culture is a must.

Position Summary:
We're looking for a Lead Video Editor & Content Strategist who lives and breathes short-form video. Someone who can take an idea from brainstorming to viral TikTok, who knows when to break the rules, and who can blend storytelling with data-driven content strategy.
You’ll lead video content production across paid ads, organic social, brand campaigns, and customer testimonials — shaping the visual identity of Whip across platforms.
Concept, script, shoot (when needed), and edit short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, paid ads)Collaborate with marketing, fleet, and sales teams to turn ideas into compelling video assetsEdit with speed — quick turnarounds, optimized hooks, platform-native pacingStay on top of content trends, sounds, and editing styles to keep Whip culturally relevantOversee brand visual consistency across all video outputs
🗂 Maintain an organized content library and editing workflow. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following):
Qualifications / Experience Required:
- 3+ years of video editing and creative production (agency, in-house, or freelance)
- Deep experience with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube ShortsProficiency in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar
- Killer sense of pacing, music, and storytelling — especially in the first 3 seconds
- Portfolio of high-performing content (bonus if it’s DTC, gig economy, or auto-related)
- Independently develop and execute comprehensive content strategies, from ideation to distribution, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Work autonomously to manage the full content lifecycle, including research, planning, creation, optimization, and performance analysis, with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate strong self-direction in identifying content opportunities, solving challenges, and driving projects forward in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Take ownership of content initiatives, requiring proactive decision-making and a high degree of independence in day-to-day responsibilities.
- Strategize, prioritize, and manage multiple content streams simultaneously, demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills without constant oversight.
- Bonus: On-camera comfort, animation skills, or experience working with UGC creators

Work Environment:
This is a hybrid position.Typical work environment includes desktop computing work using typical desktop computing equipment (laptop, keyboard, mouse, monitors, desk, chair) in an office environment and/or remote workspace environment.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit and use typical desktop computing workspace equipment - e.g. mouse, keyboard, monitor, phone - for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity to operate a typical desktop computing workstation.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, using virtual meeting and communication tools such as email, Google Meet, and Slack.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds, if required.

Salary:
Overall compensation range: $50,000 - $60,000. Based on experience.
