
Auto Detailer
DriveWhip is a mobility provider in the Washington, DC area, with offices in multiple cities, that Leases/Rents vehicles to Uber, Lyft and other On-Demand or Rideshare drivers. As a ground floor member of an exciting new company all associates will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities. An appreciation for the pros and cons of start up culture is a must.

Position Summary: As an Auto Detailer you will be responsible for the cleanliness of the cars on the lot. This includes vacuuming and prepping the cars, shuttling cars to and from car washes and dealerships for servicing, car transports to and from offices, checking fluid levels, and changing tires.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following):
- Clean vehicle exterior by hand, brush or by operating washing equipment
- Polish, dry and clean vehicle windshields, windows, lights, mats and exterior body, by hand
- Vacuum, shampoo, add air freshener and clean vehicle interior (some stain removal may be required)
- Determine need for and add windshield fluid, gas, oil, water and antifreeze
- Perform basic maintenance check: antenna, under the hood, inside the vehicle, inside the trunk, and outside vehicle
- Verify appropriate stickers are attached to vehicle (registration, plates, etc.)
- May be responsible for maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies
- May assist with local automobile deliveries
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
- Experience in fast-paced environment
- Flexible to be on-call, as needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and to carry collateral materials and displays
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- Must have a valid US driver's license for a minimum of 1 year.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in the last 6 years in any of the following (will consider PT experience): Customer service, administrative, labor, retail, auto body shop, etc.
Physical Demands:
- Required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and kneel throughout the workday.
- Must be able to frequently lift, move, and carry objects up to 50 pounds, including tools, equipment, and cleaning supplies.
- The position requires repetitive motions of the hands, wrists, and arms, such as polishing, scrubbing, and wiping.
- Work may be performed in both indoor and outdoor environments and may include exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and cleaning chemicals.
Location: Glen Burnie, MD (required)
Compensation: $16 - $20 per hour; depending on experience
