About the Role:
We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced Director of Brand Marketing to help oversee our brand strategy, marketing campaigns, and brand experience. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing successful brand strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and loyalty. They will be a creative thinker with a deep understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.
This role will report to the Vice President of Brand Marketing.
This is a full-time, hybrid role with company benefits based in Marina del Rey, CA, at Dr. Squatch HQ.
The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $150,000 to $180,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and implement comprehensive brand marketing strategies to achieve company objectives and increase brand awareness.
- Lead the development of brand positioning, messaging, and creative direction that resonates with target audiences and aligns with company values.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, sales, and creative to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
- Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social, print, and events.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify consumer insights, market trends, and competitive positioning opportunities.
- Manage brand budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI and achieve business goals.
- Monitor and analyze brand performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior leadership.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in brand marketing, continually seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, with a proven track record of success in developing and executing brand strategies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand building.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and techniques.
- Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries.
- Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred.
- Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency.
- Someone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcome.
- Someone who proactively helps others stays positive and has a good sense of humor.
