Accounts Payable Sr. Associate

About the role:
- We are looking for an experienced and hardworking professional who can help support various, growing divisions by managing our Accounts Payable process. This person will have the opportunity to own projects and work cross-functionally across the business and be a key point of contact for our finance organization. A strong accounting background is critical, along with an eagerness to shape best-practices in a fast-paced environment.
- This role will report to the Accounting Manager.
- This is a full-time hybrid role with company benefits based out of Marina Del Rey, CA.
- The anticipated base compensation for this role will be $70,000 to $100,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and local market rates.
What you'll do:
- Process company invoices in an efficient and timely manner
- Analyze invoices and ensure entries are properly coded and recorded in the allocated time frame
- Manage vendor setup process within the AP module and supporting systems by communicating with department heads and vendors to gather the necessary information
- Maintain vendor communication and resolve outstanding issues through phone and email in a timely manner
- Oversee payments and invoices processed outside of our standard AP system
- Assist in payments organization, including the identification and documentation of fixed asset spending, or executing various initiatives
- Collaborate frequently with Accounting Manager and team to ensure continuous process improvement
- Reconcile AP Aging to the general ledger detail monthly
- Ensure entries are coded with the proper currency
- Build strong relationships with the finance team to manage cash flow forecasting
About you:
- 3-5+ years of Accounts Payable processing experience (preferred background consumer goods brands)
- Bachelor's degree, with focus on accounting or business
- Demonstrated experience with automated Accounts Payable systems (Bill.com)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP (Netsuite preferred)
- Relevant experience with 3-way match (inventory bills)
- Excellent communication skills
- Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries
- Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred
- Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency

- Someone who proactively helps others stays positive and has a good sense of humor
