About the Role:
The Warehouse Manager leads all warehouse and inventory operations for the Brea manufacturing site to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient flow of raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods. This role owns warehouse execution (receiving, storage, replenishment, picking, shipping), inventory accuracy, and team performance while ensuring strong transactional discipline in NetSuite and tight coordination with Production through Parity Factory. The Warehouse Manager builds a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement to support manufacturing uptime and on-time shipment performance.
This role will report to the Plant Director.
This is a full-time role with company benefits based in Brea, CA.
The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $95,000 to $110,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.
What You'll Do:
- Safety, Compliance & Facility Standards
- Own warehouse safety performance: daily safety walks, forklift/PE training compliance, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Maintain strong 5S/housekeeping standards in all warehouse areas, docks, staging, and material lanes.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and site policies (hazmat handling as applicable, waste handling, sanitation).
- Maintain safe dock operations, traffic patterns, and equipment inspection routines (forklifts, pallet jacks, dock plates/levelers).
- Inbound Receiving & Put-Away (Raw Materials / Packaging)
- Manage inbound schedules, dock utilization, and receiving priorities to support production plans and minimize detention/shortages.
- Ensure accurate receiving: PO verification, counts, condition checks, labeling, and timely put-away.
- Coordinate with Quality for inspection, holds, quarantines, COAs/lot tracking, and disposition of nonconforming material.
- Drive improved dock-to-stock time and reduce receiving errors through standard work and training.
- Inventory Control & Accuracy (Raw, Pack, WIP, FG)
- Own inventory accuracy and controls across the site: cycle counting program, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper material identification, location control, FIFO/FEFO (where applicable), and segregation of holds/nonconforming inventory.
- Reduce inventory adjustments through process controls, access controls, and transactional discipline.
- Lead physical inventory counts and ensure reconciliation to system of record.
- Production Support / Material Flow (Parity Factory + NetSuite Alignment)
- Ensure consistent line-side replenishment and staging to prevent production downtime due to material shortages.
- Partner with Production to align material movement/staging expectations with the production schedule and execution signals in Parity Factory.
- Maintain accurate WIP movements and transactions to keep Parity Factory execution aligned with NetSuite inventory.
- Establish standard routines for kitting/staging, returns to stock, scrap disposition, and end-of-run closeout.
- Outbound Shipping (Finished Goods / Transfers)
- Lead pick/pack/ship operations to meet daily shipment commitments with high accuracy and minimal damages.
- Ensure correct documentation and compliance: BOLs, labels, pallet builds, load securement, and carrier requirements.
- Coordinate carrier scheduling, dock appointments, and shipment priorities to support Customer Service and Distribution needs.
- Own freight claims process and drive reduction in shipping errors and product damage.
- Systems & Transactional Discipline (NetSuite)
- Ensure high-quality transactions in NetSuite: receipts, inventory moves, bin transfers, picks, shipments, cycle count entries, and approved adjustments.
- Maintain clear SOPs for when and how transactions occur to prevent timing gaps between physical moves and system updates.
- Partner with Finance/Costing to support accurate inventory valuation and clean period close practices.
- Support audits and traceability needs by maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- People Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse leads/supervisors and hourly team members (training plans, performance feedback, accountability).
- Build labor plans to match volume and production needs; control overtime while meeting service levels.
- Establish daily management cadence (shift handoffs, tier meetings, KPI boards, problem-solving routines).
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
- Continuous Improvement & Cost Management
- Identify and execute CI projects (5S, visual management, standard work, slotting, replenishment design, dock flow improvements).
- Reduce waste and cost drivers: mis-picks, shortages, damages, expedited freight, rework, and excess motion.
- Improve space utilization (racking, layout, slotting) and material flow efficiency.
- Drive measurable improvements in labor productivity and service metrics.
About You:
- Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of warehouse/inventory operations experience in manufacturing, CPG, or high-volume distribution.
