As the Jira Platform Lead, you will shape the overall strategy, vision, and direction of our Jira environment based on evolving business needs. Your role will involve both developing and managing our Jira implementation, optimizing its capabilities, and collaborating with numerous other teams via various integrations. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in supporting various business units as they adopt, utilize, and integrate Jira into their business processes. This position requires a balance of deep technical development and workflow expertise as well as strong leadership skills. You’ll be right at home if you:
- Have 5 or more years of proven experience as a Jira Administrator, Developer, Architect or similar role.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring teams.
- Proven track record of implementing and maintaining Jira, preferably using Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage technical teams, consultants, and stakeholders effectively.
- Experience working with third-party vendor integrations (e.g. Confluence, Slack, SharePoint).
- High proficiency in Jira development, from custom workflows to advanced scripting.
- Experience with data manipulation and complex data management.
- Experience with integrations using APIs and middleware tools is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate a growing, fast-paced organization.
- Jira certifications are highly preferred.
- Have a bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
What you’ll be working on:
- Platform Management: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of our Jira environment, ensuring best practices in configuration and customization.
- Complex Global Instance: Work closely with multiple verticals and functional groups within the DRW group to achieve consensus and a single set of common business processes and practices. Data security is of paramount importance to the implementation across all areas of the platform.
- Consultant Management and Collaboration: Work closely with external Jira consultants where necessary to ensure project deliverables meet business requirements and deadlines.
- Team Leadership: Develop, lead and mentor a growing Jira team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Stakeholder Support: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs and provide tailored Jira solutions to drive adoption and efficiency.
- Integration: Manage Jira integrations with other business systems to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Jira best practices, new features, and trends to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge.
The annual base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $220,000, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
