As a Global Benefits Specialist on our global Human Resources team, you will play a critical role in supporting our global benefit processes and programs. The position partners closely with our Global Benefits Manager and HR Operations team to deliver benefits support, analysis and a strong employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day administration of US benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, employee assistance programs, wellbeing, and other voluntary benefits); support global benefits administration as needed.
- Act as the first line of contact for employee inquiries related to US benefits and leave of absence (LOA) matters, providing timely guidance, triaging complex issues and ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Manage and coordinate US leave of absence process, including eligibility determination, documentation collection, notification of benefit eligibility/status, coordination with HR stake holders, and ensuring compliance with state and national regulations. Track LOA durations, extension requests, and return-to-work plans.
- Deliver US new hire benefits orientation and act as support and back-up for global regions.
- Oversee benefits invoicing and reconciliation globally; validate vendor bills, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Ensure US benefits programs comply with local and global regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, GDPR, local statutory requirements, etc.).
- Analyze global benefits data (costs, utilization, and trends) and provide insights to optimize cost, quality, value and employee experience.
- Develop and maintain global benefits dashboards and metrics (cost per employee, benefit utilization, open enrollment participation, vendor performance).
- Assist in executing US open enrollment activities and provide support for global renewal efforts.
- Assist with 401(k) non-discrimination testing and annual audit process.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline benefits administration and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in benefits administration and analytics.
- Demonstrated experience with US benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, EAP, wellbeing) and vendor management.
- Experience with global HRIS and benefits platforms. Experience with Workday is a plus.
- Familiarity with US benefits and leave compliance (FMLA, HIPAA, ADA, ERISA and relevant state leave laws) and practical experience applying these requirements in LOA and benefits administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into actionable recommendations and business impact; proficiency with excel.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable drafting communications, and conducting new hire and open enrollment sessions.
- Attention to detail, data integrity, and high level of confidentiality with employee information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
