Our ServiceNow team manages the core applications that keep the enterprise flowing. They work hard to ensure that the core platforms are operating optimally and configured to meet the business needs while maintaining a focus on security. They obsess over providing extraordinary service regardless of the issue.

As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the configuration, development, and maintenance of our ServiceNow platform across the full breadth of the product. This position is ideal for candidates with broad, hands-on ServiceNow platform experience who are looking for the opportunity to lead significant projects and initiatives within a dynamic IT environment. You will work closely with senior administrators, developers, and stakeholders to ensure the efficient operation of ServiceNow and to continually expand what the platform delivers to the business.

You’ll be right at home if you:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Have 3-5 years or more of proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
  • Have broad, hands-on experience developing across the ServiceNow platform, including custom application development, Flow Designer, integrations, and scripting.
  • Have extensive experience and knowledge of ServiceNow backend technologies, including GlideRecord, scripted REST APIs, business rules, script includes, and server-side scripting.
  • Have proven experience with ServiceNow frontend methodologies including Employee Center, Workspaces, Mobile, and UI Builder.
  • Are proficient with traditional web development technologies, including JavaScript and HTML/CSS, and REST API.
  • Have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Are an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies including generative AI.
  • Possess a solid understanding of ITIL concepts and principles.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience maturing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and integrating it with custom import solutions and external data sources.
  • Have experience administering a ServiceNow platform, including platform upgrades, instance health, and security monitoring.
  • Have experience or certifications in any of our emerging product areas, such as Customer Service Management (CSM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Source-to-Pay (S2P), Workplace Service Delivery (WSD), or Platform Analytics.
  • Have experience with ServiceNow AI products and integrations, including Now Assist, Build Agent, third-party AI tools, and MCP servers

What you’ll be working on:

  • Configuration and Customization: Assist in the configuration and customization of the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements, including creating custom applications, forms, workflows, and UI enhancements.
  • Custom Application Development and Management: Build and support company-specific functions and workflows.
  • Scripting and Development: Utilize advanced scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript) skills to create and optimize business rules, client scripts, and server-side scripts to automate processes and improve efficiency.
  • Integration: Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and tools–including custom import solutions and external data sources–ensuring data consistency and seamless information flow.
  • CMDB Maturity and Data Integrity: Help mature the corporate-wide CMDB and foster adoption across the organization, including onboarding data through custom import solutions and integrations.
  • Service Catalog Management: Help maintain and improve the service catalog, including creating and updating service offerings, request forms, and associated workflows.
  • Platform Administration, Security and Compliance: Help administer healthy ServiceNow instances–supporting platform upgrades, security monitoring, access controls, role management, and auditing–to keep the environment secure and compliant.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business analysts, to gather requirements and deliver solutions that align with business needs.
  • Documentation: Keep clear, accurate records of configurations, customizations, and development work to support knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest ServiceNow features, best practices, and industry trends to contribute to the improvement of our ServiceNow environment.

The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 USD to $200,000 USD depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
