62364-1 - Senior Character Artist Prototyper
Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Character Artist Prototyper to help invent the future of digital presence in the Metaverse. In our Sausalito location, you will partner with our Creative Director, technical artists, research scientists, and engineers to explore complex research problems and create immersive demos that show how our state-of-the-art technologies can enable the future of AR/VR avatars. Our research team develops the technologies that will enable product groups to ship the avatars the world will see in 5 to 10+ years. You’ll work in small, nimble teams to rapidly iterate on digital character-focused demos and prototypes. These demos and researches are shared with the top level leadership and community to inspire and define a north-star for our future metaverse.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a CG character and hardsurface modeler (Maya/Zbrush) Proficient in assets blueprint creation in Unreal/Unity.
- Skilled in creating, textures, clothing assets, grooms/Hair (Substance, Marvelous, Maya, or similar tools)
- Demonstrated experience in translating technical terminology in order to drive understanding and buy-in from a varied range of stakeholders
- Proven experience of identifying potential roadblocks early and developing plans to mitigate risks
- In-depth knowledge in assets optimization for realtime (Models, Textures)
Preferred Experience
- Extensive Content development experience, including shipped AAA games and/or film
- AR/VR experience Proven experience in creation and pipeline of digital assets, both for VFX and Video Games Knowledge of emerging technologies
- Houdini experience is a plus
- Interest in AI is a plus
