Role Overview:

The Operations & Finance Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Duckbill. Working closely with our Operations Manager and General Manager, you will be responsible for key strategic initiatives across operations and finance, and  managing workforce projections. You will own the creation and maintenance of our Operations metric dashboards using tools like Hex, develop strategies for our  gross margin efforts, and make strategic recommendations to enhance operations and financial processes. Additionally, you will contribute to workflow improvements, assist in business partnership decisions, and collect feedback to drive product enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workforce Management:
    • Project and manage workforce needs to ensure accurate staffing relative to our member base.
    • Analyze data to adjust staffing plans dynamically.
  • Metrics & Dashboards:
    • Own and maintain metric dashboards using Hex to track and analyze key operational and financial metrics.
    • Ensure dashboards are aligned with company goals and provide actionable insights.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Oversee day-to-day gross margin charts, identifying opportunities for optimization.
    • Provide strategic insights on improving financial processes and operations.
  • Workflow & Process Improvements:
    • Design and implement workflow changes to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Develop processes for copilots to follow, ensuring consistency and quality in service delivery.
  • Strategic Initiatives:
    • Assist in identifying and evaluating potential business partnerships.
    • Gather and analyze copilot feedback to drive product improvements in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Drive meaningful insights about consumer behavior and operational effectiveness by extracting, transforming, and analyzing data via SQL.
    • Develop and present data-driven reports, dashboards, and visualizations to facilitate decision-making.
    • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions, making adjustments as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in strategic projects that combine AI technologies with human expertise to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of data collection and analysis frameworks.
  • Assist in the development of recommendations for experimentation, process optimization, and automation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a tech or AI-driven company.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
