Position Overview
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will be a key member of company leadership, instrumental to developing and executing a digital platform strategy aligned to the company's business goals during a critical period of growth. The VP Digital will be a hands-on technical leader who directly builds, implements, and optimizes digital platforms while fostering innovation and driving performance metrics during the next phase of company expansion in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment.
Core Responsibilities:
Digital Platform Strategy
- Develop and own comprehensive digital platform strategy across owned and partner digital properties (ecommerce, digital apps, games, and more)
- Roll up your sleeves to personally implement and execute best practice processes for platform development, management, and performance analysis
- Create and maintain digital roadmaps, platform enhancements, and standard operating procedures
- Lead day-to-day digital operations and streamline platform workflows, analytics reporting, and technology management
- Ensure optimal performance across all digital properties through data-driven decision making
- Code, develop, and/or implement technical solutions as needed (and/or directly manage external resources on these activities)
Digital Experience and Engagement
- Create, develop, and lead Dude Perfect's fan loyalty program from concept to implementation
- Develop and oversee strategies to enhance user experience, engagement, and retention across digital platforms
- Partner with business and creative teams to define platform requirements and ensure efficient development processes
- Implement and refine structured user testing, platform optimization, and feedback frameworks
- Ensure exceptional user experience across all Dude Perfect digital properties
- Manage external digital partners, platform relationships, and internal tools and systems
- Oversee and improve platform performance tracking, including KPIs, analytics, and review processes
- Develop and execute digital innovation programs to stay ahead of technology changes and user expectations
Platform Ownership and Revenue
- Own and manage all in-house and partner digital platforms, including ecommerce, mobile apps, digital games, and emerging technologies
- Drive our digital monetization strategies and initiatives, platform integrations, and revenue diversification
- Spearhead new digital platform development and feature enhancements to maximize user engagement
- Partner with company leaders to align our digital platform strategy to progressing the strategic and operational roadmaps, priority company initiatives, and special projects
- Quickly develop and nurture positive working relationships with department leaders and other key stakeholders
- Actively build and develop digital platforms hands-on while the team scales, functioning as a “doer” rather than just a manager
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive digital leadership experience across platform development, digital experience, and digital analytics / optimization
- Proven track record as a technical doer who can directly build and implement digital solutions
- Experience in digital platforms, ecommerce, mobile applications, gaming, and/or entertainment technology
- Passion for sports and knowledge of the digital sports landscape a plus
- Advanced degree in computer science, digital media, or related field a plus
- Strong hands-on technical skills, with willingness to be the primary technical resource during team build-out
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and executing operational digital processes directly
- Strong knowledge of platform development, user experience optimization, and digital technology best practices
- Comfortable with ambiguity and thrives managing several projects, deadlines and stakeholders in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Enjoys taking an analytical approach to digital initiatives, including analyzing and drawing insights from performance data sets
- Transparent and effective oral and written communicator; comfortable communicating both concisely with executive audiences and in-detail with tactical audiences
- Interacts well with internal colleagues at all levels and across all business functions
- Results-oriented, gritty, resourceful, and organized team player with the highest of ethical standards
Location: This position is located onsite at the all-new Dude Perfect HQ3 offices in Frisco, Texas (Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex). Remote candidates will not be considered for this position.
