Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with DTC, Wholesale, and Export teams to devise and support communications (both printed and digital) campaigns primarily during seasonal wine releases, but also during non-sales cycles to drive engagement and brand-building.

  • Manage asset library: proactively ensure we have right assets for engagement initiatives and coordinate photoshoots.
  • Host guests at the winery tasting room as needed, sharing key points of interest to build brand affinity.
  • Support acquisition and sales strategies such as referral campaigns, gifting initiatives, etc.
  • Maintain and manage marketing and promotional materials, including the marketing budget to inform decisions around insourcing vs outsourcing.
  • Lead press submissions, collaborating with Winegrowing and Sales to develop an efficient and effective process that aligns with brand standards.
  • Maintain brand websites with SEO best practices and SEM oversight.
  • Manage the wholesale and export communications calendar, ensuring all supporting collateral needs are delivered on time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience and a track record of success.
  • Demonstrate drive, ambition, self-awareness, and desire for continual improvement.
  • Ability to project manage multi-faceted, cross-functional initiatives while hitting deadlines.
  • Ability to be self-directed and work autonomously.
  • Confidence with technology and software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms, ecommerce systems, and email marketing platforms.
  • Experience or awareness of luxury wine, retail, restaurants or hospitality.
  • Knowledge of wine, viticulture and winemaking processes, or a strong interest to learn.

Location: This position is primarily based in Napa and requires 3-4 days a week in the DuMOL office. The Marketing Lead will be required to commute to the winery (Windsor, CA) semi-regularly. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends, evenings, and travel to support sales and acquisition needs.
