About the Job


Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for customer-first data and insights? We're looking for an experienced Senior Media Insight Planning Lead to join our team and help shape impactful media strategies that drive brand growth. In this role, you'll partner with a market-leading retailer and collaborate with some of the world's biggest CPG brands, from Unilever to Heineken.

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in insights, media planning, and commercial strategy to make a real impact. Your contributions will be pivotal in driving growth for Tesco Media's planning, strategy, and sales teams across Central Europe.

As a key member of the Strategic Planning Team, you'll play a proactive role in defining initiatives that empower our Client Management & Sales Team and the wider media organization to excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret internal customer data and external market trends to generate actionable insights that inform strategic media plans.
  • Develop comprehensive strategic responses to client briefs, ensuring alignment with their business and brand objectives.
  • Proactively challenge client strategies when appropriate to maximize the value of Tesco Media's portfolio in delivering impactful business outcomes.
  • Drive a data-driven approach by providing training and consultative support to the entire CE Media Team.
  • Support and empower the wider CE Media Team with regular customer, category and market trends & insights
  • Collaborate closely with Account Management, Client Leadership, New Business Sales, Applied Data Science, and Insight Teams to uncover new commercial opportunities.
  • Design and implement Test & Learn and A/B Testing programs to optimize channel utilization for key clients.
  • Maintain and develop a comprehensive resource database to support data- and insight-driven planning, including benchmarks, learnings, and case studies.
  • Identify new opportunities to enhance the Strategic Planning Team’s impact and support Tesco Media's continued growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Language Skills: Native-level proficiency in the local language and advanced English skills (confident in leading meetings and delivering complex proposals in both written and spoken form).
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in one of the following: ATL media planning, retail media planning, or consumer insights.
  • Media Knowledge: Strong understanding of both brand and performance media ecosystems across offline and online platforms, including measurement and evaluation.
  • Insight-Driven Expertise: Proven ability to translate insights into strategic recommendations that deliver business outcomes.
  • Analytical Skills: Solid understanding of analytical and statistical methods (e.g., calculating key metrics, distributions, percentages, etc.).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience managing complex data sets and presenting insights through compelling data visualization and storytelling.
  • Tools: Familiarity with Data and BI tools is a plus.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Awareness of data compliance and GDPR regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong presentation and consultative skills, with the ability to address client challenges confidently.
  • Collaboration: A team-oriented mindset with a passion for building strong relationships across internal departments.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with varied tasks and challenges.
  • Growth Mindset: Eager to embrace change and contribute to internal growth initiatives.
