We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who expects more from their career. It’s a chance to extend and improve dunnhumby’s Data Science Platform. We’re a full-stack platform team working with a wide variety of tools and technologies. We handle the whole lifecycle of our teams’ solutions, from inception and development to their deployment and maintenance via Infrastructure as Code.
Joining our engineering team, you’ll work with passionate people to build, extend, and maintain the platform that underpins all our client engagements; from early data assessment and ETL to data analysis and visualisation.

 What we expect from you

• 5+ years of experience required
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, with a strong preference for python and golang
• Solid expertise in container technologies and the ability to design, build, and operate containerised workloads effectively
• Experienced in managing Kubernetes clusters on AKS and GKE
• Possesses broad knowledge across cloud providers (GCP and Azure are desirable), able to leverage platform services effectively to solve complex problems
• Skilled in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on automating testing and job execution to improve delivery efficiency
• Capable of producing clear, structured documentation that effectively communicates technical concepts and processes

Preferable skills - 

• Experience using Infrastructure of Code tooling (preferably Terraform)
• Knowledge in monitoring and observability, able to implement tools and practices that ensure system reliability and performance visibility
