About the Role
We are looking for an Application Architect (Full Stack – Front-End Heavy) to help shape and scale the future of our Retail Media SaaS platform. Our platform enables global retailers and CPGs to manage and optimize advertising campaigns across e-commerce, in-store, and social channels.
This is a hands-on architecture role. You will design and build working solutions, not just write architecture papers. You will define patterns, produce reference implementations, and partner closely with squads to ensure architecture is practical, maintainable, and performant in production.
You will work across the stack (roughly 60% front-end and 40% backend) leading architecture for React-based microfrontends and the supporting integration layer (BFF, APIs, observability, and CI/CD). Your focus will be to operationalize our Front-End Foundations, uphold engineering excellence, and raise the bar as the platform scales.
What You’ll Do
- Define and evolve architecture for our React + TypeScript ecosystem, built using Nx monorepos and microfrontends.
- Develop reference implementations and working prototypes for host and sub-applications, ensuring adoption across squads.
- Drive maturity of our design system and tokenization practices (Storybook, Emotion.js, component libraries).
- Establish front-end performance standards such as Core Web Vitals, bundle optimization, lazy loading, accessibility, and scalability.
- Strengthen front-end observability using New Relic and other tools, correlating metrics with backend performance.
- Advance CI/CD automation for front-end builds, ensuring linting, testing, and deployment are integrated into delivery pipelines.
What We’re Looking For
- Deep hands-on experience in React, TypeScript, and component-driven architecture.
- Strong understanding of Nx monorepos, microfrontends, and shared package ecosystems.
- Expertise in frontend performance optimization, accessibility, and browser-level observability.
- Practical experience with Node.js (Fastify or Express) for building and scaling BFFs.
- Working knowledge of backend technologies (.NET Core, REST APIs, data orchestration) to design cohesive full-stack solutions.
- Strong understanding of microservices and asynchronous integration patterns (e.g., GCP Pub/Sub).
- Proven track record of building and shipping architecture not just defining it.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
- Experience in SaaS or retail media/adtech environments preferred.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Delivered architecture that scaled across multiple squads or product domains.
- Balanced hands-on depth in front-end and integration architecture.
- Experience improving developer velocity through CI/CD and monorepo optimizations.
- Experience implementing or scaling design systems, tokens, and component libraries.
- Demonstrated ability to prototype, benchmark, and validate design decisions through working code.
Why Join Us?
- Shape and scale a retail media SaaS platform powering global brands and retailers.
- Work across the stack from React microfrontends to Node.js BFFs with modern tools and cloud-native technologies.
- Join a culture where architects code, teams own outcomes, and engineering excellence is celebrated.
- Drive meaningful change by operationalizing architectural standards and raising the bar for the next generation of front-end and full-stack systems.
- Apply now to design and build the architecture that powers the future of retail media.
