Durable builds AI that does the work for you. Our goal is to own the DIFY (Do It For You) small business category.

What is DIFY? It is a new category of technology that is faster and more cost effective than a human, and much easier to use than software. It is an AI first approach to solving customer problems.

You don't need to learn new software. You don't need to read help docs. You don't need to learn how to prompt. You provide business context and feedback, and the work is done for you.

We believe in a world where everyone is a business owner. Whether it's a full-time, part-time, or side hustle - we want to make it frictionless to start and operate a business. Since launching in late 2022, over 5 million websites have been built with our AI powered website builder. We are generating significant revenue, well-funded by Silicon Valley investors, and growing extremely fast.

The role: 

We need someone who turns words into revenue. You'll own all copy quality across our highest-impact surfaces – website, landing pages, ads, emails, and product. But this isn't about writing everything yourself. You're the AI conductor who gets machines to produce at volume, then uses your taste and data to pick what actually converts.

You understand that in 2025, everyone has ChatGPT. The difference between companies that win and lose isn't who uses AI – it's who uses it better. You'll be our prompt engineering expert, teaching the entire team to get consistent, high-quality output from AI while maintaining the human judgment that turns good copy into brilliant copy.

What you'll do:

Improve conversion and click-through rates

  • Own conversion copy across all touchpoints: website, landing pages, paid ads, email campaigns, and other marketing channels
  • A/B test ruthlessly and make data-led decisions
  • Optimize in-product copy to improve activation rates (the words inside our product matter as much as the marketing)
  • Create high-value content that ranks in both Google and ChatGPT

Scale with AI, not headcount

  • Build and maintain a prompt library that allows you and the rest of the team to scale impact
  • Lean into prompt engineering as a core skill
  • Turn AI's 100 decent ideas into the 3 brilliant ones that drive action
  • Create systems for consistent quality at 10x traditional volume

Own the numbers

  • Your North Star: visit-to-signup conversion rate
  • Track copy performance religiously – what works, what doesn't, why
  • Run weekly experiments, ship daily iterations
  • If it's not moving MRR, you're not interested

Build our competitive moat

  • Work with internal and external subject matter experts to create content AI can't (with original data, research, ideas, and POVs)
  • Come up with creative ways to inject original data, research, ideas, and POVs into our content so people and search engines cite and share it
  • Interview successful entrepreneurs and customers and turn their stories into compelling, original content that inspires more to launch their own businesses

What you bring: 

AI expertise that allows you to 10x impact. You use AI to ship 10x faster than traditional marketers, but you know the difference between AI slop and content that converts. You have the taste to spot what's brilliant, the speed to iterate quickly, and the data obsession to prove what works. You treat prompts like product specs and can teach others to get the same results.

You measure success in customers and cash, not clicks and impressions. Every piece of work you create has a clear path to revenue. You live for the dopamine hit of seeing conversion rate and search rank charts going up and to the right. You test fast, kill what doesn't work, and double down on what does. When something fails, you see data, not defeat.

You thrive when the playbook doesn't exist yet. You take broad goals like "double our conversion rate" and figure out how to make it happen without being told each step. You pull in the right people, dig into the data, and ship something valuable while others are still planning. You ask forgiveness, not permission, when you spot an opportunity to drive growth.

You're obsessed with our customers' success, not your own expertise. You understand that a solo landscaper trying to get their first 10 clients doesn't care about your marketing theories. You speak their language, feel their pain, and create solutions that actually solve their problems. You'd rather ship something useful today than something perfect next quarter.

Additional Requirements:

  • 8+ years crushing it in conversion copywriting and/or growth marketing
  • You've doubled conversion rates before and can prove it
  • You can explain complex AI concepts to a 12-year-old
  • You've built something from scratch – a newsletter, a business, a community

Location: Ideal candidates are based in Vancouver. We may consider those based remotely in Canada on a case-by-case basis. 

Compensation: Base salary range $110,000-150,000 CAD, plus equity. This range is based on Vancouver, BC. Actual compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and takes into account experience level and skillset.
