Dusty Robotics is the leading solution to ensure design integrity in the field through automated layout and a streamlined BIM-to-field process. Dusty delivers a combination of hardware, software, and services that fit seamlessly into existing construction work processes by printing digital models directly on the jobsite floor with 1/16" accuracy based directly on Revit or AutoCAD models. Dusty has enabled contractors to print over 100 million square feet of layout across thousands of buildings and is trusted by leading general contractors such as DPR and Skanska as well as trade contractors in framing, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.

Dusty Robotics is the market leader in construction robotics. Our FieldPrint Platform enables construction teams to print digital building designs directly on the floor of a construction site, enabling all crews to build off a single source of truth and making construction more consistent and predictable. Our robots are operating daily on construction sites across North America. We are building relationships with the nation’s largest construction firms and creating enterprise partnerships with them to standardize our product on their job sites. Our sales team engages with stakeholders across the AEC industry in order to build coalitions of support for adopting automated layout and educate the market on a new way of building.

Your Role at Dusty:
As the Director of Sales at Dusty, you will:

  • Mentor and train a team of Account Executives on all phases of the sales cycle, from prospecting through close
  • Hire and grow the team to keep pace with company growth objectives
  • Prepare sales forecasts, sales budgets, commission plans, and quotas for the sales team
  • Conduct 1-1 coaching with account executives to increase their effectiveness and enable them to exceed expectations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and advocates
  • Work closely with other leaders in sales, marketing, product, and revenue operations to drive the growth of the business
  • Monitor and refine processes, metrics, and tools to increase the effectiveness of the sales team
  • Proactively seek out new information and insights to drive improvement within the team

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years leading sales teams in growth-stage startups, ideally in a player/coach role
  • Experience closing enterprise deals in the $1M+ range with complex stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies (e.g. MEDDPICC, Sandler, Challenger Sale) and when to use them / when not to use them
  • Passion for the construction industry and the hard-working men and women who build the world we live in

Where You'll Work:

Dusty’s sales team works primarily in-person at our office in Mountain View, CA. In this role, you will be working primarily from our office in order to spend face-to-face time coaching and mentoring your sales team. You can also expect to travel a small amount to customer locations around the US.
