We believe in Extraordinary.

At Jack Morton we create head-turning, stomach-dropping, mind-boggling, smile-inducing brand experiences for everyone. It’s the future of marketing and there’s nothing passive or predictable about it. We promise every day will be different than the previous one in a very good way.

We take care of each other, as much as we take care of business. We marvel in each other’s uniqueness and revel in what each of us brings to the human potluck that is Jack.

So if you want to help shape the future of an entire industry, welcome. If you feel work, and the people you work with, can be extraordinary, let’s chat. We’re Jack, and we can’t wait to meet you.

That brings us to you.

As a Creative Director at Jack, you’ll be accountable for generating big, brave, bold creative ideas and helping direct how those ideas come to life (about 40% concepting, 60% execution). This is a research-driven account for a power management company, and you'll be responsible for digesting and distilling key concepts via different forms of content and conversations with subject matter experts. Taking what you learn, you'll come up with creative concepts you'll help execute, including gamification projects. You’ll report directly to the VP, Group Creative Director of the Boston office while being responsible for overseeing both copy and art. Most importantly, you are you, and we would have it no other way.

What you’ll be doing

  • Creative Strategy: Master the brief and provide strategic rationale for creative choices. Partner with strategy to ensure work delivers on objectives.
  • Research & Ideation: Quickly become a subject matter expert on complex topics and distill key concepts into clear, concise, and impactful customer-facing messages.
  • Digital-First Mindset: Write effectively for digital assets, ensuring alignment with web design, UX, and strategy.
  • Concept Development: Bring ideas to life verbally, earning recognition as a sought-after creative partner.
  • Execution & Craft: Adhere to brand standards, ensuring consistency in brand voice across B2B audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Presentation: Present ideas and copy compellingly to clients and internal teams.
  • Client Relationships: Build trust with clients and collaborate effectively with their subject matter experts.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and manage creatives (art and copy), fostering growth and maintaining the agency’s culture.
  • DEI+B Advocacy: Integrate diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging into the creative work.
  • Creative Excellence: Drive the development of big ideas that grow business, win awards, and result in standout case studies.
  • Collaboration & Ownership: Work closely with account, strategy, and production teams to ensure creative solutions meet business objectives. Take responsibility for the quality of all creative output.
  • Agency Growth: Build the agency’s reputation through award-winning work, new business pitches, and strong client relationships.

If you can do all that, you have what it takes. It might also help if…

  • 8+ years of overall creative experience with 5 of them at a CD level preferably at a leading, ideas-driven agency
  • A strong creative pedigree with a track record of delivering award-winning creative work
  • Management experience (experience leading designers and copywriters – formally or informally)
  • Engaging presentation skills and a track record of successfully selling and executing brave creative ideas
  • An unwavering curiosity for creative and cultural innovation
  • An unmatched passion and energy for your craft, Jack Morton, and brand experience

Last, but not least, we believe in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
