THE JOB / Senior Event Executive, Hospitality

EXPERIENCES / Responsible for planning and executing event and experiential marketing programs.

***Our headquarters is in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (2-3 days week in office) in one of these office locations - - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, or Atlanta, GA. The Atlanta location is highly preferred.

Octagon is searching for Senior Account Executive to join our team as a playmaker at the intersection of global football and hospitality. This role will be working managing relationships with key stakeholders for a fast-paced client and is ideal for someone that is passionate about global football with a minimum of two (2) years of partnership experience.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Assist with event planning, on-site activation, and post event wrap-up
  • Handle online guest registration systems and databases
  • Develop templates and acquire invitee information
  • Creation of personalized itineraries for various FIFA World Cup matches
  • Co-lead all weekly status calls and other key meetings with both internal and external constituents
  • Lead all logistics to include, but not limited to, décor, lodging, transportation, food and beverage, production services, and celebrity appearances
  • Prepare and distribute event status meeting notes, execution guides, staff implementation guides
  • Handle event results reporting and wrap-up report development
  • General account management and assistance with client requests
  • Lead on-site temporary staff at event activations
  • Weekend/holiday work as needed
  • Assist in organizing logistics for events, including décor, lodging, transportation, food and beverage, production services, and talent appearances.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and setup
  • Support the event planning team in managing schedules and timelines
  • Identify, track, and keep up to date on global football deadlines •
  • Support the Account Manager in the management of documents such as budgets, status reports, inventory tracking, and meeting agenda and notes
  • Produce written communications for clients, including presentations, event reports, case studies, competitive reports, etc.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Have a passion for global football and eager to stay up to date with development in the industry
  • 2-3 years of work with an agency, brand, or property within global sports and specifically global football
  • Quick learner with confidence in managing multiple programs at once
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Exceptional work ethic, a strong desire to succeed, and willingness to learn
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
  • Strategic collaborator and problem solver - can see possible impacts of a decision on many projects
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Moderate (20-45%)

L2: This position pays $50,000, is overtime-eligible and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
