THE JOB / Senior Account Executive

CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon’s client business and day-to-day management of client programs

***Our headquarters are in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position is in Atlanta, GA.

We are looking for a motivated Senior Account Executive to join our skilled and dynamic global client services team. In this role, you will support multiple clients, global and domestic, with the day-to-day sponsorship management and execution of their portfolios. This position will work with various stakeholders including client, agency partners and production vendors to bring these sponsorships to life.

The ideal candidate will develop strong client and partner relationships, manage centralized approvals, develop and maintain asset trackers and support with weekly reports and document development. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are a must.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Assist the account teams with project management support of the client’s sponsorships and related programs
  • Prepare status agendas and progress reports
  • Manage centralized approval submissions ensuring consistency with partner guidelines ​
  • Support execution of ambassador contracts and deliverables tracking
  • Liaise with agency partners on campaigns and programs as assigned
  • Develop and maintain asset tracker for contractual assets with periodic updates on utilization ​
  • Support toolkit developments and other event documents as necessary
  • Provide on-site event management/activation/rights delivery support as needed
  • Support all aspects of program planning from the initial stages through onsite execution and wrap-up (research and develop tactical plans, call notes, manage agency and vendor relationships, etc.)
  • Support account billing processes including budget tracking and vendor payments
  • Other related duties/projects as reasonably assigned
  • Domestic & international travel to support client’s programming may exist, includes non-traditional hours, nights, and weekends

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a related field - agency/client service, event marketing, and/or sports marketing, and a passion for working with sports & entertainment properties
  • Detail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality work within deadlines
  • Exceptional communicator
  • Excellent written and verbal skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve and work effectively under pressure while working as both part of a team as well as independently
  • Experience with on-site event management and execution
  • Experience managing partner relationships including vendors, suppliers, and assets
  • Experience with global brands and/or rights holders is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (in particular PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • A highly driven and motivated individual
  • Willingness to work weekend, holiday and non-traditional hours, as required
  • “Pitch in and get your hands dirty” type of attitude required
  • Willingness and ability to travel is a must; A valid passport, or the ability to obtain a passport is required. Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Low (0-15%)

This position pays $50,000, is overtime-eligible and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
