Jack Morton Worldwide is seeking a Finance Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting to the SVP, Finance Director, your primary focus is to provide financial support to Jack Morton’s Boston office. This is a highly visible position suitable for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, service-focused individual. We’re looking for someone who will bring intellectual curiosity, determination, and creativity to his/her/their work. You will be confident and insightful, think strategically, and communicate accurately and concisely.

What you’ll be doing

Project Set-Up, Maintenance, and Review

· Ensure that all documentation for revenue recognition is complete and accurately processed.

· Set up projects in SAP accounting system & update data throughout the lifecycle of the project

· Properly categorize billings and costs throughout the lifecycle of the project

· Monitor financial results of jobs in progress and at completion. Work with account teams to ensure financial accuracy

· Review credit balances, refunds, and adjustments and work with Finance Director on resolving any discrepancies

 

Project Finance & Analysis

· Track and monitor submitted project budgets (budgets vs. actuals)

· Prepare and review job cost reports for projects

· Reconcile and explain job cost variance, with help of Producer, within two months of the conclusion of a project

· Prepare flash forecasts of variances to project budgets as required

 

Financial Close, Budgeting and Forecasting Support

· Work with local office leadership and the Finance Director with preparation of quarterly budget review meetings

· Manage month end close process

· Provide biweekly P&L forecast against budget and variance analysis

· Track and analyze office expenses

· Provide ad hoc financial data necessary for leaders to make informed decisions

· Assist Finance Director with monthly P&L analysis

 

If you can do all that, you have what it takes. It might help if…

· 5+ years of experience in project accounting or financial analysis

· Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

· Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Expert in Excel or Google Sheets

· SAP experience is a plus 

· Experience in professional services is a plus

In Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, and New York City the standard base pay range for this role is $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually (potential flex), depending on relevant factors including experience, internal equity and market considerations. This base pay range is specific to Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, and New York City and may not be applicable to other locations.
