Senior Account Director, Consumer Lifestyle PR

The Overview:

R&CPMK is seeking a Senior Account Director based in the greater Los Angeles area to serve as a lead on one of our agency’s biggest PR accounts – McDonalds. This role requires expertise and passion within the consumer comms space and experience guiding clients on Hispanic segment communications needs/programs.

As a leader, you recognize that excellent client service is the key to our success and that drives your daily interactions. You enjoy leading and developing an account team, helping to craft the skills of rising stars.

The Fine Print:

  • Serve as a primary contact for the client
  • Oversee all Public Relations programming from concept/planning to activation; bring a value-added approach to issues and projects
  • Deliver a POV and play a leadership role with Hispanic segment-led initiatives
  • Implement programs that resonate with diverse, multicultural consumer segments
  • Build, lead and develop engaged and dynamic teams; serve as an important mentor to mid- and junior-level team members, fostering respect and collaboration within the team
  • Deliver strategic, engaging and persuasive presentations to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and others
  • Ability to balance multiple projects/issues seamlessly; encourage effective delegation of project goals
  • Assess program effectiveness ensuring ROI and efficient use of client budget
  • Accountable for quality control and review of all planning decks, recaps, status reports, work back schedules, results, vendor and partner contracts and overall project management

The Needs:

The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of developing and implementing coordinated Public Relations strategies that apply the full scope of the communications mix, including media relations, influencer outreach, community partnerships and events. Experience working as part of an integrated marketing team, representing the PR POV while helping to lead cross-agency work streams for local/national campaigns is a priority.

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience; agency experience in consumer PR category is a requirement. Preferred experience with QSRs.
  • Spanish speaker strongly desired.
  • Proven experience running day-to-day client service and project management of large, multi-channel brands with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong experience with both social media and traditional media
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Experience engaging with and presenting to mid-to senior-level clients.
  • Outstanding judgment when working with diverse media outlets, team members, client contacts, and vendors
  • Very organized with unfailing attention to detail

Salary: $100,000.00- $120,000.00 annually
