Golin Dallas is hiring a VP, Catalyst to join a dynamic team supporting industry leading CPG brands.

 

You will be a key leader in a team of integrated specialists to deliver strategic, creative and modern communications solutions across influencer, social and earned media to address our client's key business challenges.

Riding the wave of recognition and award-winning work, the VP, Catalyst has an incredible opportunity to undertake a client facing and commercial role, working in partnership with a cross-functional team that helps promote and protect the brand and keep Golin on top.   

 

This role has a seat at the table with our client, shaping strategy with senior leadership, managing branded influencer campaigns, as well as modern earned media campaigns. You will oversee communications between internal teams and clients, while working with a collaborative team that rolls up their sleeves at all levels to produce great work!

Please note: This is a hybrid role located in Dallas, TX. You will have an opportunity to collaborate in-person two to three days a week at our Dallas office while maintaining flexibility for remote work.  

 

What You’ll Do:  

  • Serve as a senior contact for communication and brand clients, providing counsel on strategy, planning and evaluation, in collaboration with Golin’s practice leadership
  • Represent Golin in key client meetings, planning meetings and interagency meetings
  • Build and protect relationships with client leaders, proactively maintaining regular touch points across all levels of clients
  • Engage Golin thought leaders to showcase the value of earned and agency innovation to open new growth opportunities  
  • Oversee a high-functioning, integrated team across account management, project management, planning, creative, analytics and channel practitioners to ensure our work is delivered on time and meeting strategic objectives and KPI expectations
  • Mentor mid-level and junior-level account team to deliver strong recommendations and execution, while growing into the next level of their careers
  • Proactively develop and lead implementation of strategic recommendations and plans, working across integrated teams
  • Proactively generate new ideas and opportunities to introduce innovative offerings from Golin that will strengthen our role as a strategic partner
  • Plan and implement consumer-facing events and partnerships on behalf of our brand partners, including mega/celebrity influencers
  • Develop and manage budgets, scopes, invoices, staffing plans and other operational responsibilities, working in partnership with Golin finance to ensure profitability and strong account stewardship
  • Direct the execution of projects and ensure clear client aligned direction is delivered to the cross-functional team   
  • Continually seek out ways to solve client’s problems while driving growth for Golin 
  • Actively participate in Golin Dallas senior leadership team and Catalyst community, focused on driving business and people growth, connecting our people and fostering an All in Dallas mentality

 What You Have:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing or related field
  • 10+ years' experience in an advertising agency or similar setting 
  • You bring a strong financial acumen, capable of managing complex budgets ($1M+) with transparency and efficiency
  • Natural leader with a passion for mentoring junior talent, capable of identifying problems and creative solutions to service the client
  • Experience leading a successful IAT and managing overlapping campaigns at one time   
  • A passion for modern, integrated marketing with proven experience in the PR industry and knowledge of earned channels (earned media, influencer, social/digital)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage many workstreams, timelines and channel teams  
  • Experience managing day-to-day client service for CPG and/or B2C brands
  • Strong understanding of traditional media, influencer, and content marketing strategies, ability to integrate campaign strategies and tactics
  • Experience working with creative teams, third-party vendors, and/or partner agencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong copy-editing and proof-reading skills to ensure impeccable quality
  • Willingness to lean in and do the work when needed, while leading and mentoring teams
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, always looking to develop your skills, thinking and value to the agency and to clients

Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations. Salary range: $120,000 - $219,000
