Our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of digital and social analytics, combined with the ability to synthesize insights from diverse sources, and dig out trends and patterns, delivering compelling data stories and recommendations that align with your client’s business goals.  

  

You are a strategic guru and trusted client counselor who leads with data and will be responsible for accurate and efficient data collection and reporting across a variety of sources and platforms.

What You’ll Do:  

 

  • Help lead the day-to-day team and serve as a key client contact 
  • Analyze social and earned content for trends and patterns that inform recommended actions 
  • Think strategically and be insightful with the ability to tell a story that converts data into actionable insights
  • Use Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Meltwater, and other tools for social and media audits, setting up dashboards, and monitoring and analyzing results on a regular cadence (daily/monthly/quarterly) with minimal supervision. 
  • Provide leadership for the client’s analytics projects, planning, managing, leading, and presenting a wide variety of analysis from start to finish in close partnership with supporting analysts and account leads
  • Develop analytical approaches to solving business problems and provide thought leadership including development of and delivery according to analytic roadmaps and project plans
  • Demonstrate masterful storytelling: mining and synthesizing varied sets of data for omnichannel views, displaying data visually and creatively, developing powerful presentations with concise, impactful narratives and timely, actionable learnings tied to business objectives
  • Serve as an analytics expert, including:
  • Digital analytics spanning earned, owned, paid, web, mobile, email, social, and media
  • Deep experience in social content performance for paid and organic posts across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and Snapchat for text, photo, video, reels and lenses
  • Measurement expertise including framework development, benchmarking and KPI setting, reporting, dashboards, and attribution
  • Deep knowledge of relevant social and media analytics tools (for monitoring, CRM, social engagement, audience intelligence, data visualization)
  • Stay up to date on all social platforms and spot emerging trends in the social, media, and consumer landscape; be a pop culture junkie
  • Analyze social and earned content for trends and patterns that inform recommended actions
  • Think strategically and be insightful with the ability to tell a story that converts data into actionable insights
  • Be a creative, analytical mind on the team, supporting the development of strategic recommendations across earned and social media campaigns
  • Use web and social media analytics platforms to measure campaign success and help provide data-backed recommendations for optimization
  • Serve as a data journalist by uncovering strategic findings and insights using a range of digital analytics techniques, such as social listening, to help support business objectives, advance storytelling, and drive engagement
  • Understand client background and needs, including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers and competitors in the marketplace
  • Take initiative to proactively identify and solve challenges, collaborating with account leads to propose new opportunities and optimize workstreams
  • Develop rapport and a relationship of trust with key client personnel ranging from individual contributors to senior leadership, as well as internal account leads and supporting analysts
  • Stay updated on best-in-class measurement across social and earned media 

 

What You’ll Have:  

  • Bachelor’s degree and a demonstrated passion for insights and analytics, digital, and agency experience
  • 5-7 years in analytics and digital solutions, ideally within a PR agency. Experience working with Global teams a plus.  
  • Advanced proficiency and understanding or quick adoption of tools including TalkWalker, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, SimilarWeb Pro, CreatorIQ, ComScore, MOZ and others
  • Analytical skills with proven understanding of techniques: Analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable insights and recommendations
  • Comfort interpreting a variety of different data sources from qualitative research to primary survey data to secondary data sources and creating one cohesive story
  • Working with and creating databases and dashboards utilizing all relevant data to inform decisions.
  • Understanding of principles of communications, digital marketing, and media ideal
  • Strong verbal and written communication and time-management skills
  • Experience working with data visualization tools and creative ways to display information
  • Keen eye for data trends and the ability to investigate and articulate factors that may account for these trends
  • Proven track record of creating effective databases and dashboards 
  • Expertise in turning diverse data sources into clear, actionable stories 
  • Experience in survey methodology, design, and analysis 
  • Exceptional time management and adaptability across teams and accounts 
  • Strong motivation and collaboration skills, with excellent communication 
  • Ability to build and maintain trust across various teams 
  • Proficiency in setting expectations, providing updates, and troubleshooting potential issues 
  • Outstanding writing and presentation abilities

Salary Range: $70,000 – $130,000 

Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.
