Associate Producer - Live Events

From brand activations to large-scale conferences, you’ll contribute to delivering events that exceed client expectations, balancing logistics, managing vendors, and owning projects both collaboratively and independently. What You’ll Do

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Partner with production and cross-functional teams to understand project scope, goals, and deliverables, translating creative concepts into actionable production plans.
  • Assist in developing project timelines, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the process.
  • Organize and participate in project meetings, capturing key takeaways and following up on action items to maintain momentum.\
  • Management of crew/supplier travel plans and their onsite management as required

Event Production & Execution

  • Collaborate to ensure production elements align with the overall vision and client objectives.
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue research and transportation.
  • Manage on-site operations during events, such as vendor coordination, set-up and breakdown, and troubleshooting to ensure flawless execution.
  • Anticipate potential challenges and proactively address them to maintain smooth workflows and client satisfaction.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as a reliable point of contact on project progress and gathering feedback to ensure expectations are met.
  • Maintain strong working relationships ensuring high-quality delivery of goods and services.
  • Act as a liaison between internal departments to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment on project goals.

Post-Event Wrap-Up & Reporting

  • Help compile and organize all project documentation, production schedules, and feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support in developing post-event reports, highlighting key learnings, successes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the continuous refinement of internal processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Team Collaboration & Support

  • Support team members on multiple concurrent projects, contributing wherever needed to ensure success.
  • Share insights, ideas, and solutions to foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Active Participation in Jack Morton’s Community & Culture

  • Embody and advocate for Jack Morton’s values of creativity, collaboration, and inclusivity in all interactions with colleagues, clients, and partners.
  • Contribute to fostering a supportive and inspiring workplace by participating in team-building initiatives, office events, and agency-wide programs.

  • Share knowledge, insights, and experiences with colleagues to strengthen the agency’s collective expertise and create a culture of continuous improvement.

What we require: 

  • 3-5 years hands on live event production experience (b2b experience highly preferred) 
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and/or project elements
  • Familiarity with event venues, production companies, staffing, unions, catering, etc.
  • Experience with AV, staging, lighting, audio, etc. Understanding of Video/Streaming Technology is a plus
  • Experience as a stage manager and/or show caller is a plus
  • Willingness to execute projects on weekends and/or evenings if/when required
  • Working knowledge of MS Products like Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required
  • Travel Requirement: Up to 30% annually with the ability to travel to event sites for extended periods of time
  • Must be local to the Detroit area and present in the Detroit office three to five days a week
