Account Director, Business Leadership – Financial Services, Sports & Entertainment
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Momentum Worldwide is looking for an incredible Account Director who will drive IRL, virtual and hybrid experiential programs designed to attract prospects and engage consumers. This position will strategically lead client partnerships and marketing programs across the brand’s professional team sports and venues portfolio – including NBA and NHL properties – and help bring major brand activations to life. You will play an active part in various projects from brief to execution for a financial services client and create experiences that create connection between brand and consumer. Passion for Sports and Entertainment is a definite plus.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Serve as an integral member of a major financial services brand team within the agency, with responsibility for developing and managing client business
- Oversee the client’s professional sports teams and venues portfolio and strategically guide utilization and optimization of all contractual assets
- Develop rapport with clients, partner agencies and sponsorship partners, troubleshooting conflicts as they arise
- Provide sponsorship/partnership expertise and lead the development and activation of strategic solutions (sponsorship activation, event marketing, offers/promotions, and appropriate media support) which build brand equity and deliver results for the client
- Guide cross-functional teams through the development and activation of complex client programs, from strategic briefs through ideation, production, and execution
- Plan and execute assignments that are on strategy, on time, and on budget
- Deliver polished client presentations
- Manage and track asset fulfillment across the vertical
- Oversee the financial aspects of the programs/account(s)
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Momentum’s core disciplines and be proactive in growing client business across the agency
- Travel to various locations across the country to meet with clients or partner agencies, as needed
- Manage and mentor 2-3 direct report(s); fostering an environment of mutual respect and partnership, strategic thinking, appropriate risk taking, open lines of communication, on-going performance feedback, and professional development
- Supporting Momentum’s values and core beliefs on an inclusive culture

HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 8 – 10 years of related experience (marketing, experiential, etc.)
- 3+ years agency experience preferred
- 3+ years sports experience preferred
- Experience managing/training/mentoring junior team members
- Experience building and managing budgets
- Exceptional client management skills
- Organized with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently between accounts and projects
- Proven success in collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team in achieving established objectives
- Regularly delivers quality work (creatively and strategically solid) within budget parameters
- Proven leadership of clients and partners
- Highly organized as well as ability to be highly flexible in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Experience working on large clients/projects with many moving parts
- Proactive self-starter, able to identify projects and tasks, and see them through execution
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, resourceful
- Polished, professional demeanor, team player
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes quickly and efficiently
SALARY RANGE
The salary range for this position is from $120,000 to $130,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; location and region; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
