Manager, Revenue                                 

The Manager, Revenue is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recognition of revenue, maintaining compliance with GAAP and internal policies, and preparing detailed analyses to support financial reporting. This role partners cross‑functionally to interpret contract terms, oversee revenue‑related processes, and support monthly close activities. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Core Responsibilities:

Revenue Recognition & Contract Review

  • Review client contracts and supporting documentation to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment and invoice timing in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
  • Maintain accurate job/contract setup in SAP and update internal revenue schedules.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with divisional and operational teams to gain a full understanding of revenue drivers and associated costs; analyze variances against budget and forecasts.
  • Serve as a liaison to A/P, A/R, and Shared Services teams to ensure billing accuracy, alignment on shared agreements, and support for revenue recognition.

Month-End Close & Reporting

  • Perform timely review of revenue, cost of sales, and relevant balance sheet accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy for each month‑end close.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc journal entries related to revenue and cost of sales.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare monthly revenue reporting packages for distribution to division leadership.

Process, Compliance & Ad Hoc Projects

  • Assist in refining revenue recognition policies and procedures; support compliance with GAAP and ASC 606 standards.
  • Support external audit requests with revenue analyses and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with exposure to revenue recognition.
  • CPA strongly preferred or actively pursuing.
  • Strong understanding of financial and managerial accounting principles; working knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, identify issues, and develop actionable conclusions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Experience with enterprise‑level accounting systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
