Production Manager - Events

San Francisco, California, United States

**Must be able to work hybrid in San Francisco (may consider candidates located near another Jack US office)**

We believe in Extraordinary.

At Jack Morton we create head-turning, stomach-dropping, mind-boggling, smile-inducing brand experiences for everyone. It’s the future of marketing and there’s nothing passive or predictable about it. We promise every day will be different than the previous one in a very good way.

We take care of each other, as much as we take care of business. We marvel in each other’s uniqueness and revel in what each of us brings to the human potluck that is Jack.

So, if you want to help shape the future of an entire industry, welcome. If you feel work, and the people you work with, can be extraordinary, let’s chat. We’re Jack, and we can’t wait to meet you.

That brings us to you.

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Production Manager to support one of our largest tech client teams anchored in the West Coast operation.  As someone who loves experiential marketing and events, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the work of casting teams, managing processes, driving efficiency across programs, and jumping in to help manage and reconcile budgets.  You’ll be part of the core client team across a portfolio of brands and projects, US and international in scope, helping to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

With account core team and leadership

  • Support the core leadership team with a strong operational POV and collaborative spirit
  • Create budgets for pitches and new projects
  • Collaborate on long-term growth and relationship management
  • Help drive standardization and process optimization within your core account, and collaboratively across the organization
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and make recommendations

With our teams:

  • Support and partner with project teams throughout a project lifecycle
  • Help manage account meetings and manage communications across teams to drive consistency and clarity
  • Work in partnership with centralized Resourcing and local leadership (DOP, Senior Creative Director, etc.) to cast and support teams with staff and freelance talent
  • Provide coaching and training on processes and ways of working
  • Support and lead freelance and new hire onboarding around client, ways of working, and team processes
  • Support with budgeting and reconciliation of all client projects
  • Be an active member of our community, bringing your energy, authenticity, and experience to the formal and informal parts of our team

Qualifications

You are most likely a producer looking to help produce a team, rather than another experience or event. You understand the corporate event and experiential world well, can pull together budgets and estimates with incomplete information, and are comfortable navigating complexity and breadth. You are eager to join a strong, high performing team, and have fun doing it.

  • 5–7 years of production agency experience in a production-related role within corporate events and experiences
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Knowledge, comfort, and agility in creating, managing, and reconciling project budgets
  • An ability to see the bigger picture, while being grounded in details and specifics

Last but not least, we believe in diversity, equity and inclusion.

Jack Morton and Genuine are equal opportunity employers; we strongly value diversity at our companies. We do not discriminate on race, religion, color, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital status, veteran status, or any other basis prohibited by law.

The salary range for this position is from $90,000.00 - $120,000.00. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; location and region; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
