MIS and Operations Engineer

What We Need:
We are seeking an MIS and Operations Engineer with strong critical thinking skills to join our growing team and support our expanding infrastructure. This dual-role position combines responsibilities for maintaining corporate IT infrastructure, network, and application assets with assisting in day-to-day game operations. You will also follow a planned schedule to monitor and manage live game configurations while driving improvements across different systems.
Using your expertise, you will help maintain and enhance the IT and operations environment with the latest cost-effective technologies, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and contribute to fraud prevention tools for high-risk games.

Key Responsibilities:
● Configure, install, operate, test, and maintain corporate wide hardware, software, systems and network devices such as firewalls, NAS (Synology), OpenVPN, and ISP-related applications.
● Develop and maintain IT security, backup, and redundancy strategies Ensure optimal systems and infrastructure availability, performance, and security.
● Assist to answer customer support requests via our Jira ticketing system. Take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution. Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
● Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve infrastructure efficiency (e.g., alerts, dashboards). Processes and workflows enhancement as assigned, including documentation. Attend, respond and carry out other special projects/tasks as assigned.
● Liaise with the Development Team to ensure game releases run smoothly and assist the QA (Quality Assurance) Team to verify and report bugs. Conduct risk assessment for games in development.
● Attend to ad-hoc or emergency cases related to servers or IT generally. Rotate 8-hour shifts as and when required. Occasional on-call escalation duties may be required. Willing to back onsite after working hours (if needed)

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:
● A diploma or degree in Software/ Computer Science /Computing / Engineering/ IT discipline or equivalent.
● You have worked at least 2 years in a MIS role and have an overall work experience of at least 3 years.
● Willingness to learn and stay informed about evolving industry trends and game standards
● Proficiency in Jira, Confluence and Google workspace is a plus advantage.
● You are an avid gamer and passionate about learning more about the industry
● Driven and self-motivated, proactive and work well within a team
● Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
