Senior Consultant- Capture Manager

Dynamo Technologies, Inc. seeks a Capture Manager to support our Business Development team.

Job Description:

The Capture Manager is responsible for developing and supporting the execution of the business operation’s overall capture strategy associated with an approved pursuit effort to increase the win probability of new and existing projects. This role will lead pre-proposal shaping activities, orchestrate capture activities during the proposal phase and post-submittal activities, and be responsible for leading $25M-$100M+ opportunities toward a high win probability. Additional responsibilities include solution design, process and/or approaches; leading opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, win theme and discriminator workshops, proposal and program reviews, and lessons learned activities capture strategies, and recommendations to executive leadership on pursuit positions

Duties/ Responsibilities 

The Capture Manager is an integral part of the Dynamo Business Development ecosystem, with multiple opportunities to further develop career and market knowledge.

The specialists will directly support and help implement corporate pursuit strategies for various Federal markets and emerging capabilities. This includes researching promising new business opportunities, networking and cultivating teaming strategies, and turning those opportunities into new business for the company. The ideal candidate is a team player, able to see the big picture without overlooking the details, and fosters a positive, collaborative, and responsive team environment.

We are looking for self-motivating employees with a passion for business development in the Federal sector and are eager to learn about, and further their skills in the capture and proposal lifecycle. Dynamo is searching for quick learners and excellent communicators who enjoy working as part of a fast-paced team with a dynamic workload. The ideal candidate is one who is excited to take on new opportunities and learn new skills.

This is a hybrid position located primarily in Vienna, VA and requires capture and proposal support in Metro Washington DC areas as needed

The Capture Manager will have responsibilities supporting:

  • Opportunity tracking and pursuit review
  • Managing client database and distribution list
  • Managing partner database and distribution list
  • Finding, documenting, and tracking opportunities
  • Finding and developing partnerships
  • Supporting account planning and pursuit strategies
  • Engaging with project teams to build customer knowledge
  • The position will report to the Director of Capture Management.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Experience with Win Theme development, pricing, and staffing activities.
  • Experience leading and negotiating teaming agreements and strategic alliances.
  • Experience briefing senior executives, up to and including members of the C-Suite.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a customer and industry participant network.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness collaborating with subject matter experts, functional leads, and program teams.
  • Demonstratable understanding of various procurement types (non-IDIQ and IDIQ - single or multiple award contracts), as well as contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, CPFF, FUP).
  • Familiarity with federal government acquisition types, Shipley Capture processes, and tools
  • Familiarity with pursuing contract opportunities with emphasis on opportunity qualification, stakeholder engagement, solution development, and proposal submission.
  • Candidate must be able to work from our Vienna, VA office approximately twice a week and potentially more depending on projects
  • U.S. Citizenship - Must be able to obtain a US Security clearance if necessary 

Nice to Have Skills

  • Financial/Pricing Experience
  • Experience with research tools such as GovWin and CaptureExec
  • Proposal development and management
  • DOD/DHS experience

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Program Management, Strategic Capture, Proposal Management, and/or Business Development. In lieu of degree 10+ years of hands-on experience in Program Management, Strategic Capture, Proposal Management and/or Business Development.

Travel Requirement:

  • Occasional travel to customer locations (2-3 annually), but not required.

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance if necessary

Salary: 

  • $90K - $150K The salary range offered is an estimate made in good faith, intended to encompass various experience levels. Dynamo takes into consideration several factors when making an offer, including, but not limited to, the role, its functions and responsibilities, the candidate's work experience, location, educational background, and key skills.
