
Field Integration Engineer
Job Description:
Dynamo Technologies LLC is seeking a Field Integration Engineer to support the successful integration, installation, and operationalization of advanced Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems in both classified and unclassified environments. In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that PNT systems are integrated into various platforms, such as tactical vehicles and military systems. You will be a key player in ensuring the seamless operation of hardware and software systems, providing hands-on support during field testing and installation, and supporting the entire lifecycle of the system from initial concept through to deployment and field operations.
Duties/ Responsibilities
- System Integration Support: Provide engineering, integration, and administration support for PNT-related systems, collaborating with the PM PNT team to ensure proper integration of hardware and software into designated platforms.
- Field Installations: Lead or support the installation of prefabricated kits (displays, GPS antennas, mounts, brackets) into host platforms, including tactical vehicles, and provide on-site troubleshooting and assistance as necessary.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with the systems engineering team, product teams, and platform integration experts to validate and verify integration activities and system performance during field trials and demonstrations.
- Technical Review & Documentation: Develop and review system integration documentation, including technical data packages, system design specifications, and interface control documents. Ensure that all technical details are correctly incorporated into the installation and integration process.
- System Testing & Validation: Participate in system-level testing, validation, and verification efforts to ensure that PNT systems perform as expected when installed on host platforms, ensuring compliance with performance requirements.
- Problem Solving: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with integrated systems, providing immediate solutions in the field and escalating to senior engineers when necessary.
- Field Demonstrations: Support technology demonstrations in operational environments, ensuring that all systems are performing optimally and meeting the required specifications.
- Customer Support: Provide end-user training and product familiarization to platform users and integrators, ensuring effective use and maintenance of integrated systems.
- Compliance with Standards: Ensure that all integration efforts align with industry standards, government regulations, and PM PNT requirements for system integration and testing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Attend integrated product teams (IPTs), working group meetings, and program reviews to provide input on integration activities, challenges, and solutions.
Required Skills/Abilities
- System Engineering Expertise: Experience in systems engineering, including the ability to support system integration, administration, and architecture across the lifecycle of PM PNT products.
- Integration and Testing: Proficiency in hardware and software integration, testing, and evaluation of PM PNT and related systems of systems. This includes supporting field demonstrations and ensuring the system's proper operation.
- Modular and Open Systems Architecture: Knowledge of modular open systems architecture to support rapid integration and technology refreshment. Familiarity with consensus-based standards and practices for system integration.
- Collaboration Tools: Subject matter expertise in commercially available collaboration tools for secure, cross-functional program collaboration.
- Requirements Analysis and Documentation: Ability to contribute to the development and documentation of classified and unclassified PM PNT objectives, requirements, strategies, schedules, and milestone decisions.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Strong experience in coordinating and liaising with various stakeholders, including cross-PEO coordination, PM PNT products, and AFC stakeholders, for the synchronization of PNT systems.
- Integration with Host Platforms: Experience supporting host platform integration for PNT systems, including hardware/software validation.
- Field Support: Ability to provide field support during integration and deployment of PNT systems in operational environments.
- Lifecycle Support: Experience supporting all phases of system lifecycle management, including concept development, architecture, and acquisition planning for PNT-related systems.
- U.S Citizenship required
Nice to Have Skills
- Advanced Simulation Tools: Familiarity with advanced modeling and simulation tools for system design and integration validation.
- Project Management Skills: Experience in managing small to mid-sized projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meeting technical specifications.
- Familiarity with Agile Methodology: Knowledge of agile or iterative development processes for improving integration cycles and responding to changes.
- Cross-functional Team Leadership: Ability to lead or mentor cross-functional teams working on integration tasks or field demonstrations.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Ability to analyze system performance data and prepare detailed reports on system integration activities, issues, and resolutions.
- RF and Communication Systems Knowledge: Understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) and communication systems, which can be critical in PNT system integration.
- Experience with C5ISR Systems: Background in integrating Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) technologies into tactical environments.

- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree preferred
