
Data Integration Engineer

Role Summary:
Dyne seeks an experienced Data Integration Engineer to lead, manage, and optimize data integration across our organization and with external partners. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in integration architecture, hands-on experience with the stand-up and operation of Boomi and Snowflake, and a strong background in biotech or pharmaceutical environments where compliance and data integrity are paramount.
This role is based in Waltham, MA.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Integration Ownership & Development:
- Serve as the primary owner of the Boomi integration platform and Snowflake data lake environment.
- Design, build, and deploy integrations between internal systems and external partners (e.g., 3PL, specialty pharmacy, CROs, data aggregators).
- Develop and maintain integration workflows, connectors, APIs, and ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion and transformation.
- Ensure integrations are secure, scalable, and compliant with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GxP).
- Support the onboarding of the company’s data aggregator
Platform Management:
- Configure, optimize, and maintain Boomi and Snowflake environments.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions for integration and data platforms.
- Implement best practices for security, performance, and scalability.
- Monitor integration and system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement error handling, logging, and alerting.
Data Modeling & Analytics Enablement:
- Design and build robust data models and schemas to support business functions (Commercial, Clinical, R\&D).
- Layer on visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for reporting and dashboards.
- Support BI and dashboarding initiatives and provide guidance on data access.
Collaboration & Documentation:
- Work closely with IT, Commercial, Clinical, Finance, and other areas of the business as well as external vendors to understand integration requirements.
- Document integration architecture, processes, and best practices.
- Provide ongoing support, enhancements, and documentation for existing integrations and platforms.
Education and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelors in Computer Science required, Master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in integration engineering, data engineering, or related roles
- Hands-on experience with Boomi (design, deployment, administration) and Snowflake (configuration, optimization, data modeling)
- Strong understanding of APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), data formats (JSON, XML), and SQL
- Experience integrating ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other data platforms
- Proficiency with Power BI and Tableau for data visualization
- Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical environments, including integrations with 3PLs, specialty pharmacies, CROs, and clinical systems
- Understanding of compliance requirements (e.g., GxP, HIPAA) and data governance in life sciences
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Veeva, ADP, and Snowflake integrations
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and security best practices
- Experience with clinical trial data, commercial sales data, and regulatory reporting
- Snowflake SnowPro certification preferred
- Boomi Developer certification preferred

MA Pay Range
$143,000 - $175,000 USD
The pay range reflects the base pay range Dyne reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Individual compensation depends on factors such as education, experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills.
