Role Summary:
The Director, US Data and Advanced Analytics plays an instrumental role in building and synthesizing a data ecosystem to answer key business questions by generating recommendations that optimize Dyne’s readiness for neuromuscular rare disease launches. Reporting to the Head of US Commercial Operations, this individual is a highly visible commercial leader who tests, evaluates, and introduces advanced analytical techniques; leverages sophisticated analytical methodologies; and incorporates predictive analytics to inform decision‑making related to brand and channel strategies, patient journeys, promotional response, ROI measurement, demand forecasting, and omnichannel analytics. This role requires strong cross‑functional collaboration across commercial stakeholders in marketing, market access, patient services, finance, IT, and US Commercial leadership. The Director demonstrates advanced knowledge and proficiency in using large and complex data sets to drive innovative thinking that results in value creation.
This is an individual contributor role that requires strong communication, self‑initiative, and consultative engagement skills.
This role is based in Waltham, MA
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the utilization of advanced analytical techniques (AI/ML, predictive modeling) in collaboration with IT, leveraging structured and unstructured data across market research, demand forecasting, promotional mix, ad-hoc analytics, and customer/market insights to inform US execution strategy.
- Deep understanding of real-world data, such as anonymized longitudinal patient claims data, lab/diagnostic testing data, EMR, to provide patient-level analytics
- Proficiency with claims data sets such as Komodo, IQIVA, Definitive Healthcare.
- Partner with I&A lead for US market research and US forecasting.
- Lead market research, demand planning and forecasting for DMD and DM1 markets by end of 2026.
- In collaboration with IT, build a best-in-class data ecosystem to answer key business questions and create insightful visualizations, making sense of complex datasets and methodologies.
- Lead story development and presentation of commercial analytics to ensure stakeholder buy-in.
- Develop promotional marketing mix response process and omnichannel effectiveness analytics in collaboration with head of omnichannel and digital.
- Plan, direct, oversee and provide thought leadership for advanced analytical approaches, including artificial intelligence and machine learning
- Develop high quality solutions and answers to ad-hoc business questions with commercial and senior leadership.
- Lead KPI workshop identification to develop KPI dashboards and commercial scorecards.
- Leverage large and complex data from HUB, SP’s, SIP’s, data aggregator, claims, EMR and diagnostic to build a patient finding capability.
- Manage vendor relationships and overall project management with external vendors, IT commercial business partner, commercial leadership, brand teams, and other commercial stakeholders across the US commercial organization.
Education and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, advanced quantitative analytics preferred.
- 7+ years of biotech/pharma/life sciences experience industry experience with relevant experience in commercial analytics, sales operations, predictive modeling, omnichannel analytics and patient level data analytics; consulting experience preferred
- Past rare disease launch experience preferred.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing AI and ML solutions. Relevant expertise using analytical tools such as excel, SAS, SQL, Snowflake, R or Python.
- In-depth understanding and experience using advanced analytical techniques to assess strategic business questions, resulting in value creation.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills experienced in managing multiple projects, analytical resources, vendors/consultants and cross-functional teams.
- Expertise working with patient level claims data sets and other large data sets.
- Ability to think strategically and anticipate future analytical trends.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills, including ability to present to senior management.

MA Pay Range
$196,000 - $240,000 USD
The pay range reflects the base pay range Dyne reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Individual compensation depends on factors such as education, experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills.
