
Director, Trade Relations

Role Summary:
The Director, Trade Relations (DTR), serves as the lead point of contact for Trade Relations activities across key channel accounts. The DTR is responsible for managing weekly customer Dyne product purchases and Trade customer inventories. They are responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing Trade customer business plans that deliver on distribution agreements. The DTR works with Management to assist with any Dyne product, pharmacy, or other issues that may arise.
This role is a field-based role.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute distribution strategy and maximize channel partner opportunities in accordance with product labeling and Company policies
- Develop and grow business partnerships within designated accounts and ensure the proper purchasing, stocking and inventory of Dyne products to achieve performance goals
- Analyze and understand trade customer business and align Dyne priorities to create Trade customer plans that deliver results that contribute to the defined business objectives
- Monitor Trade customers adherence to Distribution Services Agreements and act as appropriate (monitor customer contracts, service fees, 852 & 867 data and market share)
- Review and monitor daily Trade Sales to ensure purchases are aligned with demand
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to review and monitor all returns to ensure they occur in accordance with the Dyne Returns Policy
- Identify opportunities and barriers to ensure corporate success
- If applicable, negotiate and contract with all appropriate channel accounts, including Site of Care
- Provide leadership and development to internal and external matrix teams to support strong relationships
- Maintain open communication throughout the organization
- Review and analyze contracted Trade customers’ performance and communicate account performance broadly with key internal stakeholders
- Exercise sound judgment and oversight to ensure integrity and compliance with company policies in all activities and communications
- Attend/staff/participate in meetings and/or conferences as requested by management
- The employee will be responsible for developing and implementing his/her own business plans

Education, Knowledge & Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- A minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
- 5+ years’ successful experience in Trade and Distribution (contracting and negotiation experience required)
- Working knowledge of Trade customer segments and distributors
- Ability to work independently and make decisions, but with the knowledge of the situations where supervisory input is essential
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop strong working relationships and work collaboratively
- Fosters innovation in account approaches and practices
- Excellent planning and organizational skills to work within date-sensitive deadlines
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a highly dynamic environment
- Recent launch and Rare disease experience preferred
- Strong track record of collaboration and leadership of key initiatives
- Cross-functional project management experience
- Travel up to 50% required
MA Pay Range
$210,000 - $252,000 USD
The pay range reflects the base pay range Dyne reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Individual compensation depends on factors such as education, experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills.
