The Senior Visual Design position will report to Visual Design Lead.
As the Senior Visual Designer, you will:
- Lead the creative vision for full 360 campaigns with a strong focus on dotcom experiences, as well as digital, print, experiential, and photography/video content, tailored to the fintech and student loan space.
- Help further refine our brand design systems as our company grows.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and product design teams to elevate our brand and enhance the customer journey across all platforms.
Your Impact:
- Develop user-centered designs for Earnest’s responsive website, ensuring seamless digital experiences.
- Collaborate with marketing, UX, and product teams to create cohesive designs across all touchpoints.
- Ensure visual brand consistency and alignment with Earnest’s mission to help people manage student loans more effectively.
- Help build, refine, and push the adoption of design systems to make us more repeatable, scalable, and sustainable over time.
About You:
- 5-8 years of experience in visual design, with a portfolio showcasing expertise in digital/print/web design, experiential, and campaign-level thinking.
- Proven experience in dotcom design, landing pages, and responsive web instances. An emphasis on financial services or fintech is a plus but not required.
- Great working knowledge of photography and video production.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong understanding of strategy and influence when interfacing with executive stakeholders.

- This role will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- While you’ll enjoy the flexibility of remote work, we also love to see our Earnies face-to-face! We ask you to join us at our Oakland office for 3 consecutive days a month for team collaboration and some fun. It's a chance to connect, share ideas, and maybe even grab some coffee together!

A little about our pay philosophy: We take pride in compensating our employees fairly and equitably. We are showcasing a range of your potential base salary. The successful candidate’s starting pay will also be determined based on job-related qualifications, internal compensation, and budget. This range may be modified in the future.
Pay Range
$150,000 - $170,000 USD
