POSITION SUMMARY

As part of EarnIn’s Platform team, this role offers an exciting opportunity for early-career engineers to contribute directly to the design, development, and operation of EarnIn’s critical infrastructure. You will work alongside experienced Platform Engineers to build and scale automation, observability, and cloud infrastructure systems that power our products. This position is ideal for someone with foundational experience in cloud-native technologies who is eager to deepen their expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, and automation at scale.

This position will be hybrid from our Bengaluru office as part of our expanding site location (2 days a week in the office). Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Collaborate with Platform Engineers to manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters supporting production workloads.
Develop and enhance automation frameworks and tooling using Python or Go to improve platform reliability and efficiency.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, enabling faster, safer, and more scalable deployments.
Participate in cloud infrastructure management on AWS, assisting with cost optimization, monitoring, and resource provisioning.
Work on observability and monitoring solutions, helping to improve the visibility and reliability of our systems.
Participate in infrastructure improvement projects, such as migration to new architectures, resilience improvements, and DR setups.
Collaborate cross-functionally with application, data, and security teams to ensure platform stability and performance.
Engage in knowledge-sharing and documentation to strengthen team-wide technical excellence.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

1+ years of experience as a software engineer or related work
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or related equivilent experience
Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker, with an understanding of containerized application management.
Experience with cloud services (preferably AWS) and a willingness to explore advanced services and configurations.
Proficiency in Python or Go, with a focus on scripting, automation, and infrastructure tooling.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD) and DevOps principles.
Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to scalability and performance.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a growth mindset and a passion for learning new technologies.
