About the Program
The EarnIn Operations Apprenticeship Program is an early-career development program designed for individuals who want to build a career in Operations. This is not a traditional customer support role. This program is designed to identify and develop future Operations talent at EarnIn. The most common career path after successful performance in the program is progression into an Operations role within the Care organization.
The goal of this program is to:
- Identify high-potential talent for future Operations roles (e.g., Associate Operations Specialist, AI Operations, Analytics).
- Develop strong business judgment, product understanding, and critical thinking.
- Build the next generation of Operations leaders at EarnIn.
Program Structure
Months 0–3: Foundations Training
- Intensive product and customer experience training.
- Hands-on chat and queue support to build real-world judgment.
- Coaching on root cause analysis and problem-solving.
- Deep understanding of EarnIn’s product ecosystem and customer experience
Months 4–6: Increased Ownership & Operational Exposure
- Continued frontline ownership with increased autonomy and accountability to core metrics (quality, productivity, customer impact).
- Exposure to key operational areas including:
- Analytics & metrics
- Operational insight generation
- Management fundamentals
- Training & documentation
- Increased responsibility and visibility.
Month 6: Evaluation & Career Pathing
At the 6-month mark, apprentices will participate in a formal performance evaluation and career discussion. Apprentices who demonstrate strong performance, learning velocity, and operational judgment will continue to develop within the program and may be considered for future roles within Operations.
The most common and natural pathway after 1 year is:
- Associate Operations Specialist (Magic Maker) — continuing to grow within Care Operations and taking on group-level performance ownership.
In select cases, and depending on demonstrated strengths and current business needs, apprentices may be eligible to apply for other roles across Operations (e.g., AI Operations, Analytics). These opportunities are not guaranteed and are subject to role availability and performance alignment.
What You’ll Do
Customer Experience Foundations
- Support Community Members (CMs) via live chat and queue tasks.
- Resolve product issues using critical thinking and sound judgment.
- Deliver empathetic, high-quality interactions.
- Identify root causes, not just surface-level problems.
- Document patterns and insights to improve processes.
Operational Learning & Insight Development
- Contribute to documentation, SOP improvements, and process refinement.
- Identify recurring issues and propose upstream improvements.
- Participate in shadow sessions and feedback loops.
- Develop fluency in EarnIn’s product ecosystem.
Growth & Development
- Actively seek feedback and coaching.
- Demonstrate increasing ownership over outcomes.
- Show readiness for broader operational responsibility.
What We’re Looking For
- Candidates located near our Mountain View office or familiar with commuting to the area are highly preferred.
- Must have the ability to work onsite 5 days per week.
- Internship, work, or leadership experience during school is a strong plus.
- Technical majors or coding bootcamp experience are highly valued.
- Curious, proactive, and coachable mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High ownership mentality and willingness to learn quickly.
- Analytical thinking and comfortable working with data.
Important Details
- This program is designed to develop future Operations leaders — not long-term frontline agents.
- The US base salary range for this full-time, fixed-term position is $65,000 – $75,000 non-exempt + benefits. Compensation is determined by role, level, and location.
- This is a full-time position with a performance evaluation at the 6 month mark
- Some weekend shift flexibility may be required.
- This role is fully in-office in Mountain View, CA
