
Key Account Manager, eRetail (18-Month Contract)
Position Overview:
The Key Account Manager, eRetail is a high-impact contract role supporting Earth Rated’s eCommerce growth during a maternity leave. With a primary focus on Chewy.com, this role is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the Joint Business Plan, management of advertising and promotional budgets, and maintaining strong retailer relationships. Working within the PODS cross-functional system, this role contributes to operational excellence and supports the team’s profitability goals. This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level eRetail professional with hands-on Chewy experience to take meaningful account ownership—with real potential for continuation and expanded account responsibility as Earth Rated grows its online business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and maintain the Joint Business Plan (JBP) for Chewy.com, as well as other strategic accounts including Zooplus and Grove, ensuring alignment on assortment, promotional calendar, marketing plans, and business goals.
- Support the onboarding and growth of newly prospected international accounts, contributing to account setup, assortment alignment, and early-stage relationship building as Earth Rated expands its global eRetail presence.
- Own and drive contribution margin ($ and %) accountability across all strategic accounts by actively managing pricing, promo strategy, operational efficiency, and marketing investment ROI.
- Manage the advertising and promotional budget for Chewy—including planning, pacing, performance tracking, and optimization—to support topline growth and margin targets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Chewy and all related accounts, delivering proactive communication and exceptional service to strengthen the partnership.
- Own and update the Latest Estimate (LE) for Chewy, incorporating demand trends, shipping cadence, promotional changes, and new item performance.
- Ensure accurate and consistent product listings, brand content, and MAP compliance across the Chewy platform.
- Collaborate cross-functionally through the PODS system with Logistics, Sales Ops, Marketing, and Finance to ensure executional excellence.
- Partner with our Marketing team to support retailer-specific programs that connect business objectives to shopper behavior.
- Lead business review meetings with account stakeholders to communicate results and reinforce Earth Rated’s value proposition.
- Work closely with other KAMs to ensure consistency across channels, MAP policy, and sharing of best practices.
Our ideal candidate has:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Chewy.com (external or internal).
- Proven track record managing CPG brands on Chewy.com.
- Experience running and optimizing paid advertising campaigns on retail media platforms and Meta.
- Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and deliver compelling pitches.
- Experience managing promotional and advertising budgets.
