About the team
The Design System Team will be tasked with building and maintaining a robust component library that works seamlessly across various web and mobile platforms. This team will be a cornerstone of our growth strategy, serving as the vital link between our design and engineering departments, ensuring world class user experience quality, consistency, and high efficiency as we scale our engineering efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance software solutions in alignment with project requirements and company standards.
- Optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Actively engage in hands-on coding and development, ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating technical concepts and project updates.
- Drive adoption of Design System tooling across the organization.
- Provide technical leadership, guiding and mentoring junior engineers in the team.
- Write detailed Engineering documentation with a focus on Developer experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience in software engineering, focusing on scalable system design and development.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks relevant to the role (e.g. Javascript, Typescript, Svelte, React) .
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of building successful design systems and/or complex user interfaces spanning multiple platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with UI component libraries such as Storybook
- Experience establishing developer ecosystem communities (internal and/or external), providing easy to use component libraries via high quality documentation and developer experience.
- Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guiding teams
- Experience working with server-side rendering frameworks (e.g. SvelteKit, NextJS, etc)
- Proficient in writing comprehensive testing suites and user stories
