This is an entry-level Engineering Manager role, ideal for a Technical Team Lead or experienced engineer with strong mentoring experience who is looking to step into people management.
- Lead and support engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions while fostering collaboration and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Mentor and coach team members, helping them grow technically and professionally through feedback, career development plans, and tailored learning initiatives.
- Contribute hands-on where necessary, including PR reviews, code reviews, and assisting in critical incident escalations to unblock the team.
- Establish delivery excellence practices, ensuring processes and workflows are effective, efficient, and scalable.
- Promote a culture that encourages learning from challenges, celebrates successes, and drives collective team achievement.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong foundation in building and delivering production systems.
- Proven experience operating as a Technical Team Lead or senior engineer, with hands-on involvement in system design and development.
- 1–2 years of experience mentoring or coaching engineers, with exposure to performance feedback and development planning.
- Strong coding and system design skills, with the ability to contribute directly when needed, especially during critical incidents.
- Experience conducting code reviews and maintaining engineering quality standards.
- Solid understanding of scalable systems, modern development practices, and engineering best practices.
- Effective communicator who can work closely with engineers, product, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on technical work with growing leadership responsibilities
